Paramount Has 1 Big Requirement for Sonic 4’s Amy Actress (Report)

A recent report details what Paramount Pictures is looking for in an actress to play Amy Rose in Sonic 4. Amy, the popular pink hedgehog known for her hammer, will make her live-action debut in the fourth Sonic the Hedgehog movie. Fans got a first glimpse of Amy at the end of Sonic the Hedgehog 3, where she appeared alongside Metal Sonic, another new character for the 2027 sequel.

According to industry insider Daniel Richtman, Paramount is looking for a well-known actress to voice Amy Rose in the upcoming Sonic movie. Richtman shared this information on X (formerly Twitter), noting it’s a priority for the studio as they cast new characters, potentially hinting at her role in a future Sonic 4 adaptation.

He didn’t mention any actors he’s considering, but Paramount seems to want someone fairly well-known for the role.

Like with previous Sonic films, Paramount and SEGA have been choosing well-known actors for supporting roles. For example, they cast Keanu Reeves as Shadow and Idris Elba as Knuckles, continuing a trend of bringing in popular stars.

It wasn’t certain if Paramount would do the same thing with Amy as they did with Tails. The character Tails, Sonic’s fox friend in the movie, was voiced by Colleen O’Shaughnessey, who also voices him in the video games.
