ARC Raiders is a challenging game for players who like a real test of skill. It’s an extraction shooter where you have to fight for every piece of gear, so be prepared to work for it!

A key part of succeeding in the game is planning your route. Whether you’re at Dam Battlegrounds or Buried City, deciding where to go first is more important than just grabbing the first loot you find.

Here’s a rundown of the 10 best locations in Buried City, and why they’re ranked the way they are. We’ll look at how dangerous each spot is, how good the loot is, and how much cover it offers to explain the rankings.

10. Piazza Arbusto

This location is a great place to visit early in a raid. While the loot isn’t amazing, it does contain some unique and worthwhile items.

The pharmacy in the large green building can be risky to enter, as you’ll need to force your way in. However, it only has one entrance, meaning once you’re inside, you can search for items with a good degree of safety.

9. Santa Maria Houses

This place is huge and has so many rooms to explore – it’s amazing if you can be one of the first to get in! If you’re not so lucky and someone else has already claimed the best spots, don’t worry! You can head up to the roof for a great view of everything happening around the outside.

This spot is a little more challenging because strong ARC enemies frequently appear nearby. It’s a good place to find Raiders scavenging from fallen ARC, or to test your skills against the powerful ARC yourself.

8. Parking Garage

It might be unexpected, but the Parking Garage is a great place to find loot, even though most stolen items come from breaking into cars. What makes it special is that it’s heavily guarded and has a lot of useful mechanical parts inside.

Down in the basement, you’ll find a Raider camp, and sometimes weapon crates too. The best part is, it’s usually full of loot because most players avoid searching the many cars inside.

A strong ARC enemy might appear on the top floor of the Parking Garage, so it’s worth a look if you need specific items.

7. Town Hall

Before anyone gets upset, there’s a good reason this area ranks lowest among the main locations. Without the Town Hall Key, you won’t be able to access most of the valuable items and will be limited to smaller, less rewarding rooms.

Marano Park is a busy area, and that increases the risk when trying to access Town Hall. While it’s possible to try your luck even without the key, other locations offer similar rewards with less danger.

6. Library

Library is a strange place to explore. While it has plenty of loot, the ARC robots seem to appear suddenly, and with the roof mostly gone, they can easily see you from above.

You’ll mostly find items to sell here. It’s a good place to quickly earn money, but otherwise, it’s better to just travel through.

5. Plaza Rosa

Similar to Piazza Arbusto, this spot also has a pharmacy to search for supplies. It’s ranked a little higher because after looting, you can usually jump down the central hole to quickly return to the starting area.

This area is mostly indoors, making it fairly safe from both the ARC and other raiders. You can usually find plenty of useful items here, enough to finish your trip or even stock up for more adventures.

4. Grandioso Apartments

As a player, I always love checking out residential areas – they’re usually full of useful stuff! You can find things to sell, but more importantly, often keys to get into locked areas. These apartment buildings are especially great because there are so many floors to search, meaning tons of loot!

At the base of the taller building, there’s a locked door that hides valuable treasure if you can find the key. Even if you don’t have the key, you’re still likely to find some useful items there.

3. Research

The Research building is a fantastic place to find high-quality loot. It’s full of containers and items, and because most of it is indoors, you’ll generally be safe from threats – the roof is the main exception.

Keep an eye out for any remaining Pops or Fireballs. The complex has many hallways, so you can either fight other Raiders or quickly find somewhere to hide.

2. Space Travel

Space Travel is a popular spot for finding valuable items, and most raid teams visit it early on. There’s so much loot there that it’s unlikely anyone will clear it all out. Don’t worry if other players have already been through the area – you’ll still probably find plenty of useful items in the containers.

This area is quite risky because it’s swarming with weaker enemies. However, like the Research building, everything is contained indoors, making it safer than being exposed outside. If things get too difficult, you can quickly exit and return to Speranza via the nearby station.

1. Hospital

The Hospital is the best place to loot in Buried City, despite being the most dangerous area due to strong enemies. It consistently offers the most valuable items and frequently features a Field Depot, which is a great source of ammunition and other supplies.

This place consistently has high-quality items, and you can often find gear left behind by other Raiders. It’s also conveniently located near both a Raider entrance and a standard exit, giving you multiple escape routes, though it’s a risky area. If you can find the key, the locked room here is especially rewarding.

You can zipline to the hospital rooftop, where you’ll find a weapons crate and some other containers in the middle.
