Do you prefer a busy weekend filled with social activities like brunch and parties, or a quiet one spent relaxing at home? While spending time with loved ones is great, sometimes there’s nothing better than having a free weekend to simply unwind. We make small choices all week – like what to eat – but now it’s time for a more enjoyable decision: which popular TV show will you binge-watch?
Forget struggling to enjoy healthy foods – you can’t go wrong with any of these hit TV shows! As of March 13, 2026, Flix Patrol reports these are the most popular shows worldwide. There’s a little something for everyone, from gripping crime thrillers and sweeping historical romances to laugh-out-loud comedies and the amazing medical drama everyone’s talking about. Now the only question is: which one should you start with?
‘Paradise’ (2025-)

Hulu
The series Paradise is currently the #2 trending show on Disney+. Season 1 premiered in January 2025, and Season 2 is available to stream now. The first episode features a major twist that has likely become well-known. This captivating and enjoyable series follows Xavier (Sterling K. Brown) and his family as they navigate life after a traumatic experience. You definitely won’t want to miss it!
The first season is short and sweet with only eight episodes, making it easy to finish quickly. Then you can jump right into the second season, which explores themes of family, love, friendship, politics, happiness, science, and beliefs. It’s great when a show is both entertaining and thought-provoking. Let’s just hope we don’t face the same challenges as Xavier and the other characters!
‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms’ (2026-)
Okay, so if you were obsessed with Game of Thrones like I was (and maybe a little disappointed with how it ended!), you absolutely HAVE to check out A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. It’s currently #2 on HBO Max, and it’s based on George R.R. Martin’s Tales of Dunk and Egg. Basically, it’s a prequel focusing on the adventures of Egg – who’s actually Prince Aegon Targaryen, played by Dexter Sol Ansell – and his protector, Dunk (Peter Claffey). It’s a totally different vibe than GoT, but still has that Martin magic.
With only six episodes in its first season, this show is perfect for a relaxing weekend after a tough week. Viewers especially appreciate how well the characters grow and change, making it a compelling watch. Plus, great news for fans – HBO has already ordered a second season, meaning more of the story is coming soon!
‘Scarpetta’ (2026)

Amazon Prime Video
I just finished watching the first season of Scarpetta on Amazon Prime Video, and it’s currently topping their charts! Based on Patricia Cornwell’s incredibly popular book series – seriously, there are 29 novels! – this eight-episode season dropped on March 11, 2026. Nicole Kidman is fantastic as Dr. Kay Scarpetta, Virginia’s chief medical examiner, who’s revisiting a cold case that started way back in 1998. Now, I’m not always a fan of flashbacks, but they really work here. They powerfully show how this case impacted Kay’s life and explain why it’s so difficult for her to face it again now. It’s a compelling watch!
The cast of Scarpetta is fantastic, featuring Simon Baker, Bobby Cannavale, Ariana DeBose, and Jamie Lee Curtis. Doesn’t a weekend watching Nicole Kidman investigate a crime and seeing Curtis play her sister, Dorothy, sound great? Just like A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, Scarpetta has already been picked up for another season, meaning you’ll be seeing more of Kay’s story.
‘Monarch: Legacy of Monsters’ (2023-)
Okay, seriously, everyone is talking about Monarch: Legacy of Monsters on AppleTV – it’s totally the show to watch right now! If you’re a sci-fi fan, or especially if you love Godzilla, you need to start watching ASAP. The story jumps between different time periods within the MonsterVerse, and I’m really invested in the characters, like Lee Shaw (played by both Wyatt and Kurt Russell!), and the siblings Kentaro and Cate. It’s so good!
As a huge monster movie fan, I’m really excited about Monarch! You can binge the first season – all ten episodes – this weekend, and then jump into the new season which is dropping weekly. The third episode, “Secrets,” comes out on March 13th, 2026. Honestly, whether you’re a lifelong Godzilla devotee or just getting into the Titan world, I think Monarch will really grab you. It’s a great mix of a heartwarming family story and, of course, awesome monster action!
‘Rooster’ (2026-)

HBO
Any new show with Steve Carell is sure to be popular. If you loved The Office, enjoyed the hidden gem The Four Seasons on Netflix, or just enjoy his comedic films, you’ll want to check out Rooster, his new sitcom currently ranking as one of the top three shows on HBO Max.
Starting March 8, 2026, you can enjoy the first episode of Rooster and still have time to start another show the same night. The series offers a charming college backdrop, complex family relationships, and characters figuring out their futures. The premiere features author Greg Russo (played by Carell) visiting his daughter Katie (Charly Clive) at Ludlow College during a book reading. While Carell delivers a solid performance, Danielle Deadwyler truly shines as Professor Dylan Shepard. Their conversation about dating, work, and self-assurance is particularly touching and realistic, making that single scene well worth watching.
‘Love Story’ (2026)

FX
Ryan Murphy is known for creating over-the-top shows, with successes like American Horror Story and hidden gems like Scream Queens. However, his legal drama All’s Fair didn’t quite work out. The 9-1-1 series is also unique and deviates from standard police or emergency shows – sometimes that’s great, and sometimes it’s not, depending on the specific episode or season. Now, his newest series, Love Story, is currently the most popular show on Disney+, and it’s a departure from his usual scary and suspenseful content.
I just finished watching the series, and it’s a real heartbreaker. Paul Anthony Kelly and Sarah Pidgeon do a fantastic job portraying John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette, and the show follows their relationship, right up to the tragic end. It’s a quick watch – only nine episodes, perfect for a weekend binge. Now, like most shows ‘based on a true story,’ it takes some creative liberties with the facts. But even with those changes, the core of their connection – how much they genuinely cared for each other – really shines through. Whether it’s 100% accurate or not, Love Story really makes you think about the pressures of fame, being in the public eye, and how all of that intersects with politics.
‘The Pitt’ (2025-)
Looking for a new show to binge? Everyone’s talking about “The Pitt,” currently the most popular show on HBO Max. If you haven’t started watching yet, give a few episodes a try this Saturday – you’ll probably get hooked!

Like the first season, The Pitt Season 2 is excellent. It beautifully highlights the dedication of nurses, offers insightful commentary on healthcare, and shares intimate stories of patients and staff. Both seasons consist of 15 episodes, and new episodes are released every Thursday evening, making it easy to stay current. The show tackles important issues like measles outbreaks, end-of-life care, and health insurance. While Dr. Robby Robinavitch (played by Noah Wyle, who you might recognize from another popular medical drama) is the central character, the series truly shines because of the contributions of the entire cast.
‘One Piece’ (2023-)

Netflix
As a huge fan, I was so excited when One Piece Season 2 dropped on Netflix on March 10, 2026, and honestly, it immediately shot to the top of the charts – no surprise there! If you already enjoyed Season 1, you can dive right into these eight new episodes. But if you haven’t seen it yet, seriously, make a plan to watch Season 1 this weekend, then Season 2 next! One weekend of binge-watching is great, but two? Even better!

Based on the popular manga series that began in 1997, the live-action show One Piece follows Monkey D. Luffy (Iñaki Godoy), the captain of the Straw Hat pirates, and his crew, including the unforgettable Buggy the Clown (Jeff Ward) and Nami (Emily Rudd).
