2 Weeks Before Release, HBO’s Euphoria Officially Returns With Intense Second Trailer

The show Euphoria first aired in 2019, and its second season came out in 2022. Now, after a longer-than-usual pause, a new season is coming soon.

HBO released a new trailer for Euphoria Season 3, and it looks significantly more intense than previous seasons. While the first two seasons focused on the characters’ struggles with addiction and growing up, this new trailer suggests a more action-driven storyline. The trailer and new promotional poster have even led some fans to compare the show to the Grand Theft Auto video game series.

Euphoria Season 3 Is a Completely Different Beast

The new trailer for Euphoria arrived less than two weeks before the show’s return on HBO, April 12th. It opens with Zendaya’s character, Rue Bennett, being questioned by police about whether she’s been to Mexico. She quickly lies, but the trailer then reveals footage showing she had, in fact, been involved with drug dealing and was smuggling drugs by swallowing them.

The trailer shows Sydney Sweeney as Cassie and Jacob Elordi as Nate, now preparing to get married. Meanwhile, Cassie is juggling other things and reconnects with Maddie (Alexa Demie) to assist with her work creating content for OnlyFans.

Rue narrates that they faced a fundamental decision at the start: defining themselves and their goals. What they didn’t foresee was just how much they’d be willing to sacrifice to achieve them.

Euphoria Season 2 debuts on Apr. 12 on HBO and HBO Max.
