Amazon Prime Gaming is releasing another set of free games for January, and this is the next-to-last batch! Today, subscribers can claim Harold Halibut and Dungeons & Dragons Stronghold: Kingdom Simulator – they’ll be available on GOG.
Harold Halibut is a science fiction adventure game that stands out because of its unique look. The game was created using the Unity 3D engine and a technique called photogrammetry, where real-life objects—built by hand from materials like wood, metal, and rubber—are scanned and turned into digital models. This approach was used for both the characters and everything around them.
In this game, you play as a janitor aboard a huge spaceship that’s resting at the bottom of the ocean on another planet. Developed by Slow Bros., it received mostly positive feedback on Steam and earned a Metacritic score between 69 and 71.

Released in 1993, Dungeons & Dragons Stronghold: Kingdom Simulator is a strategy game focused on building an empire, starting with its central fortress. Players act as rulers and can choose to govern with law, chaos, or neutrality.
As a huge fan, I’m loving how much control we get in this game! We basically run the whole kingdom – everything from constructing buildings and growing food to collecting resources and making sure everyone’s happy. Plus, we’re responsible for building up and leading the army to defend against attacks. I’ve been checking Steam, and it’s awesome to see everyone else is enjoying it too – the reviews are really positive!
