In February, Season 2 of the series that started in 1923 is due to arrive, and a major fan speculation regarding the show’s continuation has been clarified by two of its main actors, Brandon Sklenar and Julia Schlaepfer.
In the first season of the Yellowstone spin-off series, Sklenar portrays Spencer Dutton and Schlaepfer takes on the role of Alexandra. This unconventional pair cross paths in Africa; at that time, Alex was preparing for her wedding while Spencer was stalking lions – quite a contrast to managing cattle back in Montana!
On a thrilling journey side by side, we embarked on an adventure that sparked our love, eventually leading us to tie the knot aboard a vessel. However, misfortune hit when I found myself in custody for avenging Alex’s ex during a duel, forcing us apart. We made a vow to reunite at the Dutton Ranch in Bozeman, Montana.
By the finale of Season 1, there were subtle indications pointing towards significant developments in the couple’s storyline. More specifically, it seemed they would play a crucial role in upholding the Dutton family lineage.
Alex could be pregnant already in 1923
Back in 1923’s Season 1, I found myself feeling unwell during our adventure. In the gaming world, this often hints at a pregnancy. Given that we were caught sharing intimate moments quite frequently after pairing up, it wouldn’t surprise me if this was the case.
Despite no formal confirmation and the chance that Jack and Elizabeth might still be John Dutton’s grandparents, it remains uncertain if this is just a distraction (red herring). When questioned about the idea that Alex’s sickness could be something more serious, the actor from 1923 was evasive.
Schlaepfer mentioned to TVLine that Alex and Spencer faced many challenges in Season 1. Given her character’s experiences, she hasn’t disclosed the source of the illness afflicting them, nor has she revealed its identity.
However, given that she’s on numerous ships and has experienced several shipwrecks, it’s likely she isn’t feeling very well.
When questioned about whether his character Spencer might be driven by an unexpected pregnancy announcement, Sklenar replied, “Yes, I believe so. Such a revelation would indeed spur him on.
He’s deeply committed to building a life with her at the ranch and starting a family. He sees this as his purpose and something worth living for. Anything that reinforces this commitment is likely to be welcomed by him.
