About a decade past, Amplitude Studios introduced Endless Legend, a creative 4X fantasy strategy game. Now, Amplitude Studios is showcasing its sequel, Endless Legend 2, and giving a sneak peek at Saiadha, the watery realm that will be part of the game. The trailer below hints at the immense power hidden within Saiadha and suggests some dark truths about the world’s very nature.
In the trailer, a male character remains unnamed but calls himself a deity. More significantly, a female voice mutters derogatorily about this “god,” referring to him as a captive and dust. This supposed god suggests that the planet is his jail and the seas are his shackles. Despite these ominous connotations, he expresses faith that one of the warring groups will eventually discover him, which could lead to his liberation.
The game’s summary indicates that players will encounter both old dangers and new menaces, while attempting to solve the enigma hidden within the planet’s core. If the deity is indeed a man, it could be where he has been concealed. Regarding Saiadha, the planet is known for its vulnerability to colossal waves. These waves have the power to drastically alter the entire terrain, putting any civilization at risk of disaster, death, and possibly famine.
In this game, players will have the opportunity to take on various roles representing diverse factions, some of which are hinted at in the trailer. One of these factions seems to resemble humans, while another appears to consist of centaurs. Additionally, there are factions that appear to be humanoid insects, who are trying to conquer this world and those who inhabit it.
In Endless Legend 2, players can expect numerous chances to broaden their territories and impact among different races. Amplitude Studios hasn’t announced an exact date yet, but the game is expected to begin its early access phase in early 2025. During this early access period, gamers will have the ability to lead one of four distinct factions straight away. Two additional factions will be introduced upon the game’s full release.
