Each Dragon Ball series focuses on a different part of Goku’s life. Dragon Ball Super picks up after the defeat of Kid Buu in Dragon Ball Z, showing even more over-the-top adventures. Dragon Ball Super essentially represents the current era of Dragon Ball, introducing exciting new ideas like Gods of Destruction, Angels, powerful godly energy, and a vast multiverse.
The world of Dragon Ball has many important characters, especially Goku, Krillin, Piccolo, Gohan, and Vegeta. But a lot of exciting and powerful fighters don’t show up until Dragon Ball Super.
Moro’s Power Makes Saganbo Even More Destructive
The Moro’s Galactic Bandit Brigade are featured in Dragon Ball Super, highlighting the individual abilities of members like Yuzun, Yunba, Zauyogi, and Shimorekka. Saganbo stands out as their leader due to his considerable power, which is continually increased by Moro, though this ultimately puts him in a difficult position.
Saganbo’s immense power allowed him to fight on par with Super Saiyan 3 Goku, as well as withstand a combined attack from Gohan, Piccolo, and Androids 17 and 18. However, his power increases were so extreme that they ultimately destroyed his body. Before he died, Saganbo couldn’t even defend himself against Goku in his Perfected Super Saiyan Blue form, proving he wasn’t as strong as the most powerful fighters in the Tournament of Power.
Top’s Destroyer Form Matches Gods Of Destruction Strength
Jiren is the most powerful fighter from Universe 11, and he quickly becomes the main focus, overshadowing other strong opponents. While Universe 11’s Top is incredibly powerful – even a potential God of Destruction – Jiren’s strength is greater. Top is strong enough to battle fighters like Goku in his Kaio-Ken form, Golden Frieza, and Android 17, but he doesn’t quite reach Jiren’s level.
Top’s powerful Destroyer Form initially appears capable of defeating Vegeta. However, Vegeta manages to survive by reaching a new level of Super Saiyan Blue and using his desperate Final God Explosion attack. He had to push himself to his absolute limit, even risking everything, to overcome this strong opponent from Universe 11.
Kefla Is Universe 6’s Strongest Super Saiyan Fusion
A great aspect of the expanding Dragon Ball Super universe is the continued presence of a strong Saiyan population in Universe 6. While Cabba was first introduced during the Tournament of Destroyers, Kale and Caulifla ultimately become the more powerful and compelling characters. Their close, almost dependent, relationship makes sense, as they achieve their greatest strength when they fuse into Kefla.
Caulifla and Kale, in their Legendary Super Saiyan form, were impressive fighters during the Tournament of Power. However, when they fused into Super Saiyan 2 Kefla, she easily overpowered Goku until he activated Ultra Instinct. Although Ultra Instinct allowed Goku to win, Kefla, had she achieved Super Saiyan 3, might have actually won the entire tournament.
Universe 11’s Jiren Dominates Dragon Ball Super’s Tournament of Power
Jiren immediately establishes himself as Team Universe 7’s toughest opponent in the Tournament of Power. He doesn’t talk much, but he’s incredibly powerful, remarkably resilient, and has the perfect mindset to excel in a battle royale. His strength is so overwhelming that it forces Goku to achieve the never-before-seen Ultra Instinct transformation.
Jiren doesn’t seem phased by Goku’s godly power, and actually grows even stronger as the fight goes on. Even with Goku achieving the powerful Ultra Instinct form, he still needs assistance from Frieza and Android 17 to defeat Jiren. It makes you wonder just how powerful Jiren has become since the Tournament of Power, and what another fight between them would be like.
Broly’s Legendary Super Saiyan Defies the Odds Against Goku & Vegeta
Broly was a fan-favorite character in the non-official stories of Dragon Ball Z, known for his incredible power. The movie Dragon Ball Super: Broly officially added him to the main storyline, portraying him as a more sympathetic figure. The film shows Broly as a tragic character who suffered and was exploited due to his immense strength.
Broly, in his incredibly powerful Wrathful and Legendary Super Saiyan forms, initially surpasses the combined strength of Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Vegeta. But when Goku and Vegeta fuse into Gogeta Blue, Broly is quickly defeated. Gogeta Blue completely overwhelms Broly, and their battle is so intense it damages the fabric of reality. Luckily, Broly manages to survive.
Seven-Three’s Advanced Copy Ability Puts a Target on His Back
Seven-Three is a member of the Moro’s Galactic Bandit Brigade and could be a truly formidable opponent under the right circumstances. He was built with the goal of universal domination. His most powerful ability is ‘Copy,’ which allows him to learn and store the skills and powers of up to three different fighters.
Moro cleverly stores a reserve of his power inside Android Seven-Three. This allows the Android to effectively use Piccolo and Gohan’s own energy against them, and even display abilities like becoming invisible. Seven-Three’s strength is limited only by who he’s copied powers from, meaning his potential is limitless. If Seven-Three were to absorb the abilities of powerful fighters like Black Frieza, Broly, and Buu, he would become virtually unstoppable.
Gamma 1 & 2 Are Some of Dragon Ball’s Most Powerful Androids
The Red Ribbon Army, a villainous group from the early days of Dragon Ball, returns in Dragon Ball Super‘s Super Hero Saga. They’re back and aiming for power with a new generation of even more powerful Androids. These latest creations, Gamma 1 and 2, were designed by Dr. Hedo. Gamma 1 focuses his attacks on Gohan, while Gamma 2 battles Piccolo.
These Androids are incredibly powerful and firmly believe they’re the good guys. Gamma 2 is stronger than Piccolo at first, but Piccolo eventually surpasses him with a powerful transformation. Though Gamma 1 makes a heroic sacrifice against Cell Max, both Androids remain two of the most formidable fighters in Dragon Ball Super.
Moro Is Dragon Ball Super’s Magical Villain Who Eats Entire Planets
Moro, a villain from Dragon Ball Super, was imprisoned for millions of years because he was too strong to kill. He destroyed over 320 planets and an entire star system. The story begins when he breaks free and starts a complicated plan to regain his former power.
When Moro first appeared, he was already ancient and weak, but he quickly regained immense magical power by using the Dragon Balls. He was stronger than Vegeta, Buu, and even Goku – it was a real struggle! Eventually, Goku had to achieve complete mastery of Ultra Instinct, but even that wasn’t enough on its own. He needed help from Vegeta, who used a technique called Forced Spirit Fission, to finally overcome Moro’s last form, which had shockingly merged with the Earth itself.
Granolah Gains Unbelievable Power After an Impulsive Dragon Ball Wish
The Dragon Balls are commonly used to increase power, but a recent development presents a dangerous new way to gain it. Granolah, the sole survivor of the Cerealian race, uses his people’s Dragon Balls to become the strongest being in Universe 7. While the Eternal Dragon, Toronbo, grants his wish, it comes with a severe price: a drastically reduced lifespan for Granolah.
Despite Goku and Vegeta achieving their Perfected Ultra Instinct forms, Granolah, empowered by the Dragon Balls, is actually more powerful. His incredible strength is what drives Vegeta to unlock his new Ultra Ego transformation. Granolah’s accurate attacks and diverse energy blasts allow him to effectively fight back against Vegeta’s increased power. Though he evolves both of his eyes during their battle, Granolah realizes his real opponent is Gas.
Awakened Gas Couldn’t Keep Up With His Own Power-Up
Elec uses the same method that made Granolah the strongest in Universe 7. His wish causes dramatic changes in his brother, pushing him into a furious, uncontrollable state similar to the power of a Legendary Super Saiyan.
Gas masters his immense power and transforms into Awakened Gas, becoming strong enough to defeat even Goku in his Ultra Instinct form, Vegeta with his Ultra Ego, and Full Power Granolah. However, the wish Gas made with the Dragon Balls comes at a cost: his body rapidly ages and deteriorates, leaving him in a zombie-like state. Despite his failing body, Gas continues to fight until Black Frieza, the strongest being in the universe, ultimately stops him.
