A popular Disney movie is getting a sequel after a wait of over seven years. Disney has been successfully revisiting its classic stories with new movies and shows, both in theaters and on streaming platforms.

The popular show Phineas and Ferb, which aired on Disney Channel from 2007 to 2015, is making a comeback, and Disney is considering new seasons. While the show has seen a resurgence, its related movies haven’t been revisited – until now.

Disney is making another Phineas and Ferb movie! According to Variety, the new film will be available on both Disney Channel and Disney+. This is the first new Phineas and Ferb movie since Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Candace Against the Universe came out in 2020.

Just like the return of Phineas and Ferb, Disney Channel’s The Proud Family is back too! The revival series, The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder, has been renewed for a fourth season.

Season 4 of The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder continues the story of the Proud family, bringing back the hilarious chaos and strong family connection that fans love. The new season is currently scheduled to premiere in 2026.

Big City Greens Season 5

As a big animation fan, I’ve been really enjoying Big City Greens – it’s become one of Disney Channel’s most successful animated shows lately. What’s even cooler is that they actually greenlit Season 5 way back in 2023, even before Season 4 had finished airing! It shows how much confidence Disney has in the show.

This famously funny cartoon series follows the Green family as they trade their quiet farm life for the excitement of the big city. The show hilariously depicts their wacky adventures and struggles as they get used to their new, fast-paced surroundings.

Chibiverse Season 4

Since 2018, Chibiverse has offered a charming and fun take on the Disney universe, combining characters from various Disney stories with a cute, chibi art style. The short-form series has aired for three seasons and has already been renewed for a fourth.

The show will return for a fourth season, announced in June 2025 at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival. Viewers can expect the new season to arrive in 2026.

Kiff Season 3

Coming up over the next year, one of the less anticipated Disney Channel sequels is the third season of Kiff. This animated series first appeared on Disney Channel and Disney+ in 2023 and follows the adventures of a young squirrel named Kiff as he explores the magical island of Table Town.

A third season of Kiff has been approved and was planned shortly before Season 2 came out in February 2025. This suggests that Season 3 could be released very soon.

Untitled Third Phineas & Ferb Movie

The original voice actors from Phineas and Ferb are all returning for a new movie! The story will once again center around Phineas and Ferb, but this time, they won’t just be having a fun summer. They’ll be traveling through different universes to save their relationship as brothers after something threatens their very existence.

The official synopsis reads as follows: 

Dr. Doofenshmirtz’s new time machine causes a problem: it accidentally prevents Phineas’ mom and Ferb’s dad from meeting. This means the boys aren’t brothers anymore, and everything becomes boring and ordinary. With reality falling apart and the future at risk, Phineas and Ferb have to fix things and get the timeline back to normal before it’s too late.

There’s no official release date yet for the new Phineas and Ferb movie, but it’s currently expected to come out in 2027 – over seven years after the last film in the series.

Phineas and Ferb Season 6

Fans of Phineas and Ferb have more to look forward to than just a new movie! Disney Channel and Disney+ have confirmed a sixth season of the show. This is the second new season announced since the series originally ended in 2017.

We still don’t know when Season 6 will come out. Since the last episodes of Season 5 just became available on Disney+ on January 17th, it will likely be a few months before we hear anything official about Season 6’s release date.
