007: First Light PC Specs Revealed: See If Your Computer Can Run The James Bond Game

After pushing back the release date to May 2026, IO Interactive has revealed what kind of computer you’ll need to play their new James Bond game, 007: First Light.

I heard from IO Interactive that they worked really closely with Nvidia on this game. They’re using DLSS 4 with frame generation in 007 First Light, and honestly, it makes a huge difference – the game looks amazing and runs way smoother, which really pulls you into the experience.

The game can run on computers with basic specs, even without a solid-state drive, and will achieve around 30 frames per second at 1080p resolution. For smoother gameplay at 60 frames per second at 1080p, the recommended specs aren’t too demanding either. However, these requirements might be a bit low for serious PC gamers. It’s currently unclear what kind of hardware you’d need for a truly high-end experience.

Ulas Karademir, CTO of IO Interactive, explained that collaborating with Nvidia helped them create a PC version of the game that meets the high standards they set for the James Bond franchise.

007: First Light is an action-adventure game where you play as a young James Bond just starting his career with MI6. The game shows how he earned his 00 status, taking him on a global journey filled with combat and high-speed driving.

Besides being released on PC, the game 007 First Light is also coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and the new Switch 2. It will be available on May 27, 2026 – just after the originally planned release date for GTA 6, which has now been pushed back to November 2026.

A 26th James Bond film is currently being developed. The movie will be directed by Denis Villeneuve, who has been nominated for an Oscar, and written by Stephen Knight, the creator of the popular series Peaky Blinders. While the next James Bond hasn’t been cast yet, Callum Turner is currently considered the most likely candidate.
