Your broken Shiny Zacian in Pokemon Go should be fixed now

As a seasoned Pokémon Go player with over 5000 hours under my belt, I can confidently say that the recent Shiny Zacian debacle was one for the books. Having traversed countless regions and caught more Pokémon than I care to count, I’ve seen my fair share of glitches and bugs. Yet, this particular incident was a head-scratcher even by Pokémon Go standards.

Players of Pokemon Go in New Zealand and Australia frequently discover newly released Pokemon earlier than others due to time zone differences, but recent events and the introduction of Shiny Pokemon have resulted in certain challenges within this region.

Distinctive, Rare Legendary Pokémon are highly prized in the Pokémon world. That’s why some traders offer them for sale on eBay, promising online trades; collectors are eager to add unique variations of these magnificent creatures to their collections.

For the very first time within Pokemon Go, the Legendary Heroes event introduces the radiant Shiny Zacian character, enabling players to attempt capturing this electric-blue canine figure in their mobile game. Regrettably, many gamers have shared their experiences of encountering a Shiny Zacian, but it continues to possess the same color scheme as its standard version.

On the Niantic Support Twitter/X platform, they promptly addressed the matter, informing trainers that they had acknowledged the problem and were currently working on finding a solution.

trainers, we’re looking into an issue where the radiant Zacian appears with the sparkling animation, yet maintains its usual color instead of its radiant hue. Please note that this doesn’t affect the probability of encountering a shiny Zacian or other features related to shininess (such as the Pokédex and transfer warnings).

Detectives from The Silph Road Reddit forum suggested that the problem stemmed from the fact that the visual elements (assets) of the Shiny Zacian had not been incorporated into the game properly. As a result, the default color scheme appeared instead of the intended animation.

Thankfully, Niantic acted promptly, and it seems the problem has been resolved. Now, players can enjoy the stunning, all-blue Shiny Zacian in Pokemon Go.

In an unusual twist for Pokemon Go, this particular issue seems quite extraordinary. Typically, glitches in Pokemon Go arise due to unique situations caused by countless players engaging with the same game simultaneously. However, this time around, the anomaly appears to be something rather peculiar.

Everyone experienced an issue where a Shiny form of the Pokemon form (Shiny Zacian) was simply unavailable to find, although only a few fortunate players might have obtained it during the period when a glitch existed. Now, this glitch has been fixed, so the standard Zacian with the Shiny animation no longer exists, effectively eliminating one of the rarest Pokemon in existence from circulation.
