As a dedicated fan who has spent countless hours immersed in the captivating world of Utawarerumono on my trusty PC, I can hardly contain my excitement upon hearing that these masterpieces are finally making their way onto the Nintendo Switch! The thought of being able to take this epic journey on the go is simply exhilarating.
Yesterday at the Tokyo Game Show, Aquaplus unveiled that the entire Utawarerumono trilogy would be coming to Nintendo Switch on January 30th. Initially, only a physical trilogy set will be available for purchase at 14,080 yen; later, a digital bundle for all three games, as well as individual physical copies of each game, will become accessible on March 27th, with each game priced at 5,280 yen. To mark this exciting announcement, Aquaplus released a trailer highlighting the games that will be included in the set.
Additional information on these ports remains undisclosed, but all three games were playable at the Tokyo Game Show yesterday. We managed to take a look at the ports ourselves and will soon share our first impressions with you. Meanwhile, we’re also keeping our fingers crossed for news regarding localization. It seems that localization companies found out about these ports just as we did.
The Utawarerumono Trilogy debuted in Japan on January 30th, meaning Western gamers must currently access the series through PC (on Steam), as there’s no confirmation yet about western releases of potential console ports.
