Until Dawn's Peter Stormare Will Reprise His Role In The Movie

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt, I must say, the news of Peter Stormare reprising his role as Dr. Hill in the upcoming film adaptation of Until Dawn has me both excited and skeptical. On one hand, I remember vividly the chilling interactions between Dr. Hill and the game’s protagonists, a testament to Stormare’s acting prowess. On the other hand, the track record for video game adaptations is about as successful as a teenager trying to master a Rubik’s cube on their first try.

As a die-hard fan of the Until Dawn video game and someone who has spent countless hours immersed in its chilling atmosphere, I am thrilled to learn that Peter Stormare will reprise his role in the upcoming film adaptation. Having played the game multiple times and experienced the various outcomes, I have grown attached to the characters and their stories. Knowing that one of the stars from the game is set to return to the silver screen only adds to my anticipation for this movie. I can’t wait to see how the suspenseful and thrilling world of Until Dawn translates to the big screen, and having Peter Stormare on board makes it all the more exciting.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Peter Stormare will reprise his role as Dr. Hill, a therapist whose appearances in the film grow progressively disturbing, similar to the game. This implies that the movie’s script is likely to closely follow the original source material. However, revealing how and why Dr. Hill is involved in the story would be too much of a spoiler. Instead, the main plot revolves around a group of friends reuniting for a mountain vacation a year after a tragedy, which unfortunately takes a disastrous turn.

Besides Maia Mitchell and Belmont Cameli, who are yet to reveal their roles, June saw Ella Rubin, Michael Cimino, Ji-young Yoo, and Odessa A’zion as the initial cast members for this upcoming movie. Originally, Rami Malek, Hayden Panettiere, Brett Dalton, and others were part of the video game’s ensemble. As of now, only Mads Mikkelsen (Stormare) from the game has been officially confirmed for the film adaptation.

David F. Sandberg, director of both “Annabelle: Creation” and “Shazam,” is set to direct “Until Dawn.” The script for this project comes from Gary Dauberman. Filming is planned to start in August; however, a release date for “Until Dawn” has yet to be announced. In the interim, there will be a remake of “Until Dawn” available on PlayStation 5 and PC later this year.
