As an old-timer in the realm of Throne and Liberty, I’ve seen my fair share of weapons rise and fall. The Dagger, with its sharp edge and swift swing, has certainly caught my eye as a weapon worthy of note for those who favor the Rogue class. Its ability to increase crit rates and inflict poison makes it a formidable tool in single-target combat, but alas, its lack of AoE options leaves much to be desired.
For newcomers diving into Throne and Liberty, a guide on weapon tiers could assist you in identifying top-tier weapons that align well with your gaming style.
In this MMORPG, weapons serve as the equivalent of classes, and here’s the great part: You can quickly change them according to your preference. If you fancy yourself a distant magical caster or a sturdy melee swordsman up close, there’s an abundance of choices available for you.
We’ll rank all seven of the weapons in Throne and Liberty from best to worst in a tier list, while also explaining why the weapons are either good or bad.
Best weapons tier list in Throne and Liberty
TIER | WEAPON |
---|---|
S | Longbow, Wand & Tome |
A | Greatsword, Dagger |
B | Crossbow, Sword & Shield |
C | Staff |
Our tiers explained
- S: The best
- A: Very good
- B: Just okay
- C: Not great choices
Due to the recent launch of Throne & Liberty, future adjustments are expected, meaning that this rankings list may evolve over time. Rest assured, we’ll make updates to the tier list whenever necessary.
S-Tier weapons in Throne and Liberty
Longbow
The Longbow is by far the best weapon to use in Throne and Liberty for many reasons. This ranged weapon has excellent DPS, especially when paired with an off-hand weapon like the Dagger. Pairing these two together creates a perfect balance of both ranged and up-close combat, although there’s nothing wrong with staying far back and taking down enemies from a distance.
Apart from being adaptable, it’s capable of dealing damage to a single enemy or multiple targets at once, and Longbow users can not only heal themselves but also their allies. This makes them versatile team members, effective in both Player versus Player (PVP) and Player versus Environment (PVE) situations, making the Longbow an outstanding choice for any combat scenario.
Wand & Tome
If you’re looking to be the best support player on your team, choose the Wand and Tome. Even if you’re not with a group of friends, this is considered one of the best weapon choices for solo players. Aside from the Tome, your Wand can put enemies to sleep which provides great crowd control.
The only issue here is that you may not be dealing a ton of damage, but this is offset by the ability to heal yourself during fights. Additionally, having an off-hand weapon like the Crossbow can help, as the Wand and Tome alone don’t deal the best damage.
A-Tier weapons in Throne and Liberty
Greatsword
The Greatsword delivers considerable damage against foes, particularly when they’re grouped together. However, it’s a rather sluggish weapon, so you’ll want to coordinate your strikes carefully for optimal performance. In the world of Throne and Liberty, this melee weapon stands out as one of the strongest physical weapons, but certain disadvantages keep it from reaching the top tier.
Similar to the Wand, your Greatsword possesses capabilities to control crowds by stunning adversaries, which is quite beneficial. However, due to its melee emphasis and close-quarter usage, it tends to struggle when wielded alone without a secondary weapon in hand. Despite its destructive power, the Greatsword might feel overly heavy and laborious for your preference.
Dagger
In your gaming experience, The Dagger stands out as an ideal rapid-fire option, especially for enthusiasts of the Rogue character. Your primary objective with this weapon is to boost your critical hit chances, maximizing damage output, and it also inflicts ongoing harm on enemies via abilities that can cause poison.
The Dagger is often classified as an elite choice for one-handed use, but it does come with certain drawbacks. Since there aren’t many area-of-effect (AoE) capabilities, you’ll primarily concentrate on dealing damage to individual targets. On the positive side, the Dagger excels in player versus player (PVP) combat and is currently the top melee off-hand weapon available.
B-Tier weapons in Throne and Liberty
Crossbow
Initially, during the beta phase of Throne and Liberty, the Crossbow stood out as the most effective DPS (Damage Per Second) weapon. However, it received significant adjustments, often referred to as ‘nerfs’, close to its official release, which caused a noticeable decline in its popularity. Despite this setback, the Crossbow retains respectable single-target damage capabilities, particularly when wielded as an additional weapon.
This skill excels in quick maneuverability, enabling players to jump towards a specific direction while boosting their own strength. However, it encounters challenges when faced with large groups of adversaries. Instead, it facilitates fighting from afar for enhanced durability. For the moment, the Crossbow may not match its past performance in terms of damage output, but there’s potential for future enhancements.
Sword & Shield
The Sword and Shield confers players the capacity to absorb damage and retaliate with counterattacks by employing their shield. While this can be beneficial in a team to aid your comrades, fighting solo can make it challenging to inflict damage since this weapon isn’t particularly effective at dealing DPS (Damage Per Second).
This weapon not only defends against attacks but also has the ability to incite enemies, making them target you more aggressively. While it offers damage reduction and protection for your team, the Sword and Shield isn’t ideal for use by a single player or in ranged combat situations.
C-Tier weapons in Throne and Liberty
Staff
Sadly, at present, the magic Staff isn’t the most beneficial weapon for players in Throne and Liberty. It shines in area-of-effect (AoE) damage against groups of enemies, and it enables players to attack from a distance, keeping them safe in the backline. However, this ranged combat doesn’t guarantee high survivability for the player wielding the Staff.
The abilities of this tool may not provide significant defense, as they have lengthy recharge times, and it falls short when it comes to dealing damage compared to other weapons. If you’re aiming to specialize in casting spells, the Wand or Tome would be a more suitable choice in the present game environment.
