Naughty Dog has disclosed the PC requirements for The Last of Us Part 2: Remastered, set to launch on April 3rd. Additionally, there will be fresh content updates for the roguelike gameplay mode, No Return.
Naughty Dog offers four PC settings for the game: Minimum, Recommended, High, and Very High. At its lowest, the game runs at 720p with 30 frames per second (fps). On the other hand, the Very High setting aims for a 4K resolution at 60 fps. To run the game, your system needs at least 16 GB of RAM; however, the Very High setting necessitates 32 GB. Regarding graphics cards, players need at least a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 or an AMD Radeon RX 550XT for the minimum requirements, while the high-end settings call for a Nvidia GeForce GTX 4080 or an AMD Radeon RX 7900XT.
The PC version offers customizable texture detail, LOD (Level of Detail) range, volume settings, shadow clarity, ambient occlusion depth, and reflection quality. It supports ultrawide monitors up to 48:9 resolutions and comes equipped with keyboard and mouse compatibility along with the ability for full control customization.
In the No Return mode, two new characters, Bill and Marlene, who were initially introduced in the first game, are joining the roster. Bill adopts a smuggler-like approach, enabling enemies to occasionally drop a modified pump shotgun for him to wield. Additionally, he gains double rewards from loot drops, but lacks the ability to dodge. However, he has enhanced resilience against melee assaults. On the other hand, Marlene is characterized by her risk-taking style, allowing her to alter her game path once during each run.
Additionally, you’ll find four fresh maps: Overlook, School, Streets, and Nest. It’s important to note that the PC version of the game won’t necessitate a PSN account; however, logging in will reward players with 50 in-game points, which can be used for bonuses. Moreover, those who log in will be gifted a new Ellie skin – Jordan A. Mun’s jacket from Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet.
