At this year’s Xbox Gamescom Broadcast 2024, there was a fresh reveal for “The Casting of Frank Stone” by Supermassive Games, showcasing groundbreaking elements unprecedented in any previous Supermassive title.
In the forthcoming version, you’ll find some social aspects that enable players to team up with friends for a shared gaming experience, tagging along followers. This multiplayer mode includes ‘couch co-op’ where up to three companions can join in on the fun, passing the controller back and forth as the character view shifts during gameplay. Furthermore, it integrates with Twitch, allowing viewers to influence decisions by voting, while streamers have a limited number of vetoes, enhancing the overall excitement.
New features in this game offer rewards when you finish it. One of these options is called the “Cutting Room Floor,” where players can revisit important scenes, collect overlooked items, or play specific parts without having to start the entire game over again. Additionally, upon completing the game, you’ll receive a bonus feature named “Plunderer’s Instinct.” This feature helps you locate any hidden Treasure Chests that you may have missed by highlighting their auras.
Among other exciting features, there’s a fresh addition: the 8MM Camera function. This allows players to peer through an 8MM lens to scrutinize their otherworldly predator, offering a unique viewpoint that intensifies the chilling atmosphere within the game.

The Casting of Frank Stone is set to be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC later this year, with both Standard and Deluxe editions available. The Deluxe Edition includes instant access to the Cutting Room Floor and exclusive rewards on Dead by Daylight.
