As a seasoned gamer with countless hours under my belt in Sword of Convallaria, I’ve come to appreciate the finesse and strategy required to master each character. Among them, Nergal stands out as a formidable force, a protective titan who can dish out damage like no other.
Among the iconic characters within Sword of Convallaria lies Nergal, who possesses an exceptional ability to ward off attacks, fortify a robust shield, and escalate his offensive against enemies targeted by his exclusive talent. Despite his methodical gameplay that might hinder his initial effectiveness in the early stages (explaining his lower ranking on our tier list), his potential in late-game scenarios is indisputable. With careful character development and strategic positioning, Nergal has emerged as one of my preferred heroes. Best Skill Set for Nergal Build in Sword of Convallaria
If you’re looking for a character who can both protect your team and deal significant damage, Nergal is definitely worth considering. With talents like Urgent Order or March Command you can increase his movement to get him right in the heart of the action. This is the best skill set for him:
- RK1 – Fast Cover is a fantastic skill if you want to place him right in front of an enemy while protecting a vulnerable ally. With this ability, he can switch positions with someone from his team in 1-3 range tile, granting both of them Physical Shield. It’s a support ability, so afterwards he can launch an attack.
- RK3 – Both skills at this rank are equally strong and complement his trait. Mark Illumination inflicts The Hanged Man’s Mark and additional debuffs on a target. Charged Bayonet is a passive ability that increases his attack if there are no enemies near Nergal at the start of his turn.
- RK5 – Critical Moment is a great reaction if his HP is running low. While in Dying status, Nergal will dodge all single-target attacks for 1 turn and recover half of his health.
- RK7 – Burning Bridges deals massive damage to a single-target. Before the hit, Nergal gains Offensive Stance for 2 turns which boosts his Physical attack but also increases the damage he takes.
- RK9 – Silencing Attack enhances his basic attack by dealing additional damage and inflicting a debuff on Injured targets, preventing them from using any active skills for 2 turns.
- RK11 – Close Quarter Release deals devastating damage to a single target and knocks them back by 4 tiles. Then, Nergal unleashes AoE damage to all enemies within a 3×3 area in that direction, inflicting a Speed debuff.
