‘Spellbound’ Trailer: Rachel Zegler Embraces Her Monster Parents in Netflix Animated Musical – Film News in Brief

As a seasoned movie critic with a soft spot for animated films and a deep admiration for the legendary Elvis Presley, I must say that these two upcoming projects have me thoroughly intrigued!

I, Rachel Zegler, am making my mark in the realm of voice acting with the Netflix musical animation titled “Spellbound,” produced by Skydance Animation. This enchanting animated tale chronicles the exciting escapades of Princess Ellian (me), who embarks on a perilous journey to rescue her kingdom when a mysterious spell metamorphoses my parents, Nicole Kidman and Javier Bardem, into fearsome beasts.

In the trailer, Ellian works to contain her monstrous parents who have been imprisoned by the kingdom’s military. Her mission involves freeing them from their cages and lifting the enchantment that has been cast upon them. The movie “Spellbound” is helmed by Vicky Jenson, a co-director of Shrek, with music by Alan Menken and lyrics penned by Glenn Slater. John Lithgow, Jenifer Lewis, Nathan Lane, and Tituss Burgess lend their voices to the film’s cast.

“Spellbound” debuts Nov. 22 on Netflix. Watch the official teaser trailer below.
