It appears that the console version of Ready or Not is doing exceptionally well. Four days after its release on PS5 and XSX/S, the game’s CEO, Julio Rodriguez, shared that it had been bought over a million times. This rate of sales was expected to occur ten times quicker than in the PC version of the game, as reported by InsiderGaming.

Over the past few weeks, the passionate fanbase of the tactical shooter Ready or Not has been angered due to the decision to censor certain contentious aspects of the game. This development is a result of the console edition of the project, where the console manufacturers implemented these changes.

Some dissatisfied players have chosen an alternative approach and are now encouraging others to request refunds for Ready or Not on Steam.

  1. The chances of a refund are small, but not zero. Normally, on Steam, you can do that if you’ve played for less than two hours. Sometimes Valve makes an exception and agrees to such requests even if this limit has been exceeded.
  2. In the case of Ready or Not, angry players are encouraging us to give it a try, even if it doesn’t work out, because they believe it’s the only way to get the creators’ attention.

There is already mod reversing censorship

This action probably won’t convince the developers to reconsider their decision. If you’re aiming to lift censorship, you can opt for mods instead. The creators have made it clear they won’t hinder fan projects restoring original elements. Therefore, it’s no great shock that a modification like this already exists. The title of the mod is Uncensored or Not , and it has been downloaded nearly 13,000 times on NexusMods within just two days.
