As a seasoned survivor of the Enshrouded universe, the news of another major update has me positively giddy! With my years of battling the elements, fending off enemies, and crafting makeshift shelters under my belt, I can’t wait to explore the new biome, especially those chilly mountainous terrains. The prospect of taming farm animals for my hideout is a dream come true!
Back in August, the creators of the survival game Enshrouded revealed that their title had sold exceptionally well during early access (approximately 3 million copies were purchased). Now, Keen Games studio has shared even more exciting news for players who frequently enjoy this critically acclaimed (with an impressive 85% positive Steam review score) cooperative RPG. The developers have announced that a major update is on its way to Enshrouded, and they’ve hinted that it will be the largest one yet.
In a recent update, developers hinted vaguely about future advancements, assuring us they’ll share specifics soon. From a recently released video, it appears that “Enshrouded” is set to receive further updates, with the details to be unveiled in the upcoming weeks.
- the first new biome (developers will expand the northern part of the map and enrich it with cold, mountainous terrains) with an additional quest line as well as enemies, weapons, crafting materials, and furniture;
- a range of new skills;
- weather system;
- farm animals, which we will be able to keep in our hideout.
In Update 4, the developers are planning to increase the character’s maximum level by an additional 10 levels and enliven the game by enhancing and varying the actions of non-player characters, making them more dynamic. This update will also address additional bugs that players have pointed out.
Regrettably, we don’t have a confirmed launch date for the upcoming update on Enshrouded just yet. However, mark your calendars for 2025, as that’s when the complete game will be available, including versions for PlayStation and Xbox consoles.
