As a dedicated Overwatch 2 gamer, I’ve managed to pull off something extraordinary – reaching ranks one and two on the European leaderboards through my unwavering commitment to mastering just one character, none other than the explosive and chaotic Junkrat.
The Swedish Overwatch 2 player, Gurkmeister, is currently astonishing everyone in the Overwatch 2 community with his incredibly dynamic and explosive gameplay.
In less skilled matches, it’s often noticeable that Junkrat players can wreak havoc and exploit his rapid attack style. However, at a higher level of play, Junkrat is seldom seen because of his inherent weaknesses.
The character’s abilities are somewhat restricted due to his narrow skill set, slower attacking speed, and a fairly large target area, which makes him quite exposed in combat.
Nevertheless, the protagonist exhibits several advantages such as dealing substantial damage, moving swiftly with the use of explosives, and possessing a surprising ability to excel in one-on-one combat, given accurate shot execution.
On September 25th, Twitch broadcaster Gurk shared a photo of the Top 500 standings, demonstrating his achievement of securing the first and second positions solely by mastering the character Junkrat in the game.
Beneath him, most players ascended using characters that were dominantly meta, including Tracer, Widowmaker, Ashe, and so on. However, his climb with Junkrat stood out even more remarkably amidst this group of powerful characters.
