Overwatch 2 Is Getting Another Anime Crossover, This Time With My Hero Academia

As a long-time fan of both Overwatch and My Hero Academia, I can’t help but feel like my two worlds are colliding in the best possible way! The thought of Tracer donning Deku’s cape or Reinhardt channeling All Might’s iconic pose is almost too much for this fangirl to handle.

In a new development, Overwatch 2 is set to feature an anime collaboration for the second time, teaming up with the popular shonen series, My Hero Academia.

The series centered on high school characters who are either superheroes or villains, fighting for the future in a world where people naturally possess special abilities (commonly known as Quirks), bears resemblance to Overwatch, a game featuring heroic and villainous characters. This year, the My Hero Academia manga came to an end with chapter 430, while the anime continues to run.

As a gaming enthusiast, here I am, excitedly sharing that from October 17th to the 30th, there’s a limited-time event offering five My Hero Academia themed skins for purchase! You’ve got three hero and two villain skins to pick from. Here are your options:

  • Tracer as series protagonist Deku
  • Juno as the anti-gravity wielding Uravity
  • Reinhardt as series icon All Might
  • Kiriko as the Deku obsessed villain Himiko Toga
  • Reaper as League of Villains leader Tomura Shigaraki

As an avid gamer, I’m thrilled to share that while we’ll need to spend some cash on the high-quality skins mentioned, there are enticing free gifts in store! Expect some cool sprays and even a weapon charm at no extra cost.

As a gaming enthusiast, I can’t help but get excited about the latest addition to Overwatch 2 – the collaboration with My Hero Academia! It’s just one more instance where my two favorite universes merge, following previous crossovers featuring skins from iconic anime series like Cowboy Bebop and One-Punch Man. I’m all about the fusion of superheroes and FPS action!

At present, Overwatch 2 enthusiasts can commemorate World of Warcraft’s 30-year milestone by acquiring unique Warcraft-themed cosmetics for customization. Moreover, Blizzard has disclosed advantages for Overwatch 2 participants who are either existing Game Pass members or subscribe before November 11. The benefits include obtaining six hero skins, a 10% Battle Pass XP increase, and a one-time reward of 30 Mythic Prisms (utilized to elevate Mythic skins).
