Megaton Musashi W: Wired to get Megarobo Batroseum PvP mode and crossover pilots this November

As a seasoned gamer with countless hours spent battling robotic monstrosities, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming updates to Megaton Musashi W: Wired! The prospect of engaging in a Battle Royale mode within the game’s PvP arena is enough to make my heart race. But let’s not forget the pièce de résistance – the addition of the original pilots Ryoma Nagare, Koji Kabuto, and Duke Fleed!

At the Level-5 Vision 2024 event, it was announced that Megaton Musashi W: Wired would be receiving additional post-release content. During the presentation, two main types of content were unveiled, which will be delivered through a free update patch in November. This includes a new player versus player mode and three new pilots who are guest characters from other games.

In the unveiling of the latest Player versus Player (PvP) feature, it has been announced that the title will be called “Megarobo Batroseum.” Unlike the current PvP mode in Colosseum Battle where players can customize their Rogues, this new mode will offer preset units. This means that players won’t need to gather parts from the main game for character building. The new mode also introduces a free-for-all Battle Royale alongside 3 versus 3 team battles.

One important update regarding the game is that it concerns the characters. Currently, Getter Robo, Mazinger Z, and Grendizer are included as crossover units, but their original pilots have not been part of the game until now. Players could only assign in-game characters like Yamato and Ryugo to pilot them, with players providing the shouts for the super robots’ signature attacks. However, starting from November, Level-5 will introduce the original pilots Ryoma Nagare, Koji Kabuto, and Duke Fleed into the game, allowing players to have a more authentic experience. The company has not announced who will voice these characters in the game yet.

Level-5 has unveiled a separate trailer for the upcoming additional content in Megaton Musashi W: Wired, which you can watch just underneath this text. The game is currently accessible globally on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC through Steam.
