As a long-time fan of both Kai Cenat and Lizzo, I must say that this latest drama surrounding their Mafiathon collaboration has been quite the rollercoaster ride! It’s always fascinating to see these larger-than-life personalities interacting, but the incident with the “breathing loud” comments took things to a whole new level.
As a devoted admirer, I’d like to share that when Lizzo was on Kai Cenat’s Twitch stream during his Mafiathon event, some viewers criticized her for breathing audibly. But fear not, Lizzo responded with grace and wit, addressing the issue head-on.
On November 1, 2024, Kai Cenat kicked off Mafiathon 2 with the goal of regaining his top record for Twitch subscribers.
In March 2023, Kai set a new record which was later surpassed by Ironmouse in September. She managed an impressive total of 327,000 subscribers on the streaming platform, breaking Kai’s previous record.

One of the streams featured renowned artists SZA and Lizzo, and a large number of Kai’s audience appreciated the collaboration among these three celebrities.
As a gamer putting myself in Lizzo’s shoes, I found myself on the receiving end of some harsh criticism from others. They were quick to single me out for supposedly breathing too loudly into my microphone and making snide remarks about my weight. But this tough-skinned star in me decided to hit back at those comments with a video posted on TikTok.
Lizzo claps back at Kai Cenat viewers for “talking sh*t”
She stated, “The internet certainly has its uses, such as discussing financial matters, but I draw the line at false accusations. There have been too many posts implying that I was breathing heavily during the Mafiathon, and I want to clarify that is not true.
“Y’all know Kai Cenat is a loud ass breather.”
Instead, she maintained that it wasn’t her who was breathing heavily and instead pointed the finger at Kai, alleging that he was the one producing the noise directly into his microphone.
“My shoulders weren’t even moving with the sound of the breath,” she said.
Many fans rushed to comment on Lizzo’s video, expressing a common viewpoint that it sounded like Kai intentionally blowing into the microphone.
“HE BEEN HUFFIN AND PUFFIN ALL MAFIATHON,” one user commented.
Another said: “Kai was breathing loud the whole marathon. They just got something against [you].”
Additionally, there were more unexpected events on Kai’s stream during Mafiathon 2. Specifically, on November 26, Kai Cenat was taken aback when Magician Max executed a risky maneuver that potentially risked his account being suspended.
