Lionsgate Television has promoted Joel Meyer to executive vice president of worldwide production.
Meyer is set to replace Gary Goodman, who has been with Lionsgate for 18 years, in his role. Despite having recently signed a new multi-year contract to continue as head of worldwide production, Goodman opted to accept an early retirement offer provided to Lionsgate employees in the fall.
In his fresh position, Meyer is now responsible for leading the production of all scripted television shows that Lionsgate produces, while also managing their television production centers on the East Coast, located in Yonkers, NY, Atlanta, GA, and Newark, NJ.
