As a longtime fan of Jim Henson’s enchanting and whimsical worlds, I can hardly contain my excitement about these upcoming releases! The 4K steelbook editions of “The Dark Crystal” and “Labyrinth” are nothing short of breathtaking, and the collectible editions offer even more goodies for die-hard fans like myself. It’s a dream come true to have these classic films in such stunning quality!
Two of Jim Henson’s cherished dark fantasy movies, The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth, are set for several limited-edition launches this coming holiday season. The creator of the Muppets’ iconic 80s productions will be releasing 4K steelbook versions and special collector’s editions on November 19th. Only Walmart will stock the steelbook versions of The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth, which are now available for preorder at $29 apiece. On the other hand, you can securely preorder the Collector’s Editions of both The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth on Amazon with a discount, each containing the same disc content along with additional physical collectibles.
Regrettably, to get hold of the steelbook cases and the collectibles, you must purchase both versions since the steelbook exclusive to Walmart isn’t part of the costlier editions.
These 4K Blu-ray versions of these movies aren’t new, but the latest ones definitely stand out as the most visually stunning for dedicated followers of Jim Henson’s cinematic work.
As a devoted fan, I can’t get enough of these films, and if you’re in the same boat, there are some fantastic reading options available on Amazon. The collection encompasses prequels, sequels, and additional stories, along with an exhaustive guide to the Labyrinth universe and Tarot card decks inspired by both movies. Enjoy immersing yourself further into these captivating worlds!
