How To Get A Second HP Tank In Shadow Labyrinth

In Shadow Labyrinth, your HP Tank proves indispensable as it offers a significant advantage. Comparatively, it shares similarities with the Flask of Crimson Tears in Elden Ring; the key distinction lies in its function – using it restores your entire health meter rather than just a portion. This feature makes it quite useful, albeit challenging as you’ll only have access to one HP Tank for an extended period.

While advancing through the second major zone of the game, where your objective is climbing the towering Sky-tree, you might stumble upon an extra Health Tank along the way. However, this bonus could go unnoticed if you’re moving too swiftly. If you’re curious about acquiring a second Health Tank in Shadow Labyrinth, be sure to follow the instructions below promptly to avoid having to retrace your steps later on.

How to get a second HP Tank in Shadow Labyrinth

In my adventure through the Shadow Labyrinth, I stumbled upon the second HP tank hidden within the forested expanse surrounding the colossal tree I was traversing – the Sky-High Tree. If, like me, you find yourself getting turned around in this towering woodland maze, don’t fret! We’ve got a detailed walkthrough to help navigate your journey through the Great Tree and ensure you reach every hidden treasure along the way.

In the area in front of the lofty tree skyward, as you advance through the stage, you’ll discover a lengthy path situated in the west corner. This will lead you to the summit and grant access to a distinct region that eventually leads to a major boss battle. However, prior to reaching this point, there is another boss fight to overcome. The second HP Tank can be found in the Shadow Labyrinth, specifically after you’ve defeated Duke Sirius.

Starting directly from the central checkpoint, simply continue along the path to your right. Reminder: A boss battle awaits at the destination, so if you lack the necessary energy to morph into your GAIA form, consider defeating the intervening foes and absorbing their energy instead.

As a devoted fan, I’m ready to engage! Here are three primary moves you should watch out for from Duke Sirius:

1. Taking flight like a bird, they’ll aim to bridge the gap between us by leaping and slamming the ground forcefully.
2. In an instant, they can flap their wings, generating tiny whirlwinds that may pop up singly or in pairs.
3. Last but not least, Duke has the ability to spit fire, with the blast typically enveloping the ground on either side of them. Stay vigilant!

When Duke Sirius is making his way to the arena, go on the offensive. Typically, they perform an introductory animation during this time, providing ample opportunities for you to land multiple attacks. Make use of your recently learned attack sequence – basic attack, followed by another basic attack, and then a strong attack – to maximize damage. Be ready to evade his counterattacks afterwards.

When gusts of wind arise, leverage the walls flanking the arena to gain altitude; you can cling to them temporarily. In certain situations, Duke repeatedly summons whirlwinds. If this occurs for you, simply bide your time until an opportunity arises and then make a dash. Once you’ve inflicted sufficient damage (up until approximately halfway through Duke’s health bar), transform into GAIA and rapidly press the attack button. You should be able to defeat the remaining half with just GAIA’s attacks.

After overpowering Duke Sirius, you’ll gain access to a lengthy vine located to the right of the battlefield. Climb up this vine to reach the top of the structure and follow the path to your left, which will lead you to the upper area. But remember, before you ascend, take a moment to jump down below and collect the second Health Tank. For a clearer understanding, it’s also marked as a red question mark on the map.

This collectible is hard to notice because it looks like other items that aren’t useful. If you haven’t paid attention to them before, make sure to take a moment to get this one. If you’re already ahead, either warp back or retrace your steps to where you battled Duke Sirius and pick it up. Picking it up will also refill your HP Tank, so you can keep going even if you barely survived the fight.
