- Click ‘Change Session Type‘ which will queue you into a private lobby.
- Head back into the game and edit your squad.
- Click the key in the top right and you’ll see a unique code.
- Send this to your friends, or input their code below it to join their squad.
If someone from your team has previously completed this task, then you’ll need to obtain their exclusive lobby code and input it in the menu using instructions from step three to step five.
Step 1: Head to Operations
To use this specific mode, you should switch to the Operations tab as it’s only accessible there. You can reach it directly from the console on the Battle Barge, a place where you embark on missions, or you can go through your main menu and select Operations from there instead.
Indoors, you’ll find a similar image as the one displayed above, where the option for Private Mode is clearly indicated at the upper right-hand corner.
Step 2: Change session type to private
If it’s evident, simply press the ‘Y’ button on your Xbox (or the corresponding button for other consoles), a single click will activate the Private Mode. This mode is operational when it changes to green and displays ‘On’.
As a note, other than the difference in words, there isn’t much in terms of notifications letting you know you’ve changed to private. So be sure to keep an eye out, whether that’s because it’s not working due to clicking too many times, or whether you can’t seem to join another group because you’re accidentally in private mode.
Step 3: Invite your squad
In Private Mode, you’ll have to summon your preferred team before we can start playing. To accomplish this, simply go back to the main game interface, locate the ‘Edit Squad’ button – it’s the same one you used earlier to activate Private Mode – and click on it.
It’s good news that you can verify whether your Private Mode is activated since it will be displayed on the screen beneath the mission you opt to join.
Step 4: Click on the key to unlock the code
As a fan, once you decide to customize your team, you’ll notice a few drop-down arrows appearing. However, disregard these for now. Instead, locate the tiny key symbol next to your username and give it a click.
By following these steps, you’ll receive the exclusive lobby code essential for inviting other players. Make certain you identify the individuals correctly and can share the code with them easily.
Step 5: Share your code or add a friend’s code
Clicking on the key provides a distinctive invite code that appears centrally on the screen. This special code enables your friends to hop into your team or squad.
Should you be distributing the code, kindly pass it along to your friends. They should input it into the ‘Join The Squad’ area and choose ‘Join’.
If you’ve received a code, kindly proceed with the given instructions and input the code where it says “Join The Squad”. To ensure proper functioning, be mindful that the code may be case-sensitive, so make sure to enter it carefully.
