GreedFall II: The Dying World now available for Steam Early Access

As an avid gamer with over two decades of gaming experience under my belt, I can’t help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation as I dive into the Early Access launch of GreedFall II: The Dying World. Having spent countless hours exploring the rich worlds and engaging in deep narrative RPGs like Dragon Age: Origins and The Witcher series, I’m eager to see how Spiders Studio will continue to build upon the captivating universe they’ve created with GreedFall II.

Today, Publisher Nacon together with developer Spiders have made GreedFall II: The Fading World available on Steam Early Access. The complete version of the game is planned for release in 2025 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Earlier this summer, I had a chance to get my hands on GreedFall II. During my playtime, I found that the game’s fighting style reminded me of Dragon Age: Origins.

This next installment of the popular story-driven RPG, which has drawn more than 2 million players so far, will have its complete launch on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S in 2025.
A brand-new adventure in the unique world created by Spiders
As a passionate follower, I’m thrilled about GreedFall II: The Dying World, a role-playing game set three years prior to the original storyline. This time, you’ll embody a native from Teer Fradee, abruptly displaced from your island and transported to Gacane, the ancestral land of the renaigsa (foreigners in Yecht Fradí). In this crumbling world teetering on the brink of perpetual conflict, grappling with the Malichor plague and the power plays of various factions, you’ll strive to reclaim your liberty and chart your own course. Overcome each obstacle by employing diplomacy, wit, or battle tactics, and unite with your newfound allies to thwart the ominous machinations that endanger the continent and your island.
Beginning immediately, gamers are granted a sneak peek into the primary storyline, allowing them to traverse through the realms of Teer Fradee, Thynia, and Uxantis, while making acquaintances with some of the characters who will be their companions throughout the adventure.
Furthermore, the game’s material will continue evolving during its early access phase, with numerous updates introducing fresh elements, enhancements, and balance adjustments, along with additional areas to explore, new companions, quests, skills, a Photo mode, and much more! A roadmap outlining the major upcoming updates can be found below, while a video presentation summarizing everything essential about early access is also available.
