Over the past couple of months, I’ve noticed an influx of interactive filters on TikTok that demand users to shout, croon, or clearly pronounce certain choices. It’s been quite a spectacle!
In simpler terms, the “Viral Chicken Game” involves players jumping over hurdles in response to loud noises, whereas the “Perfect Pitch” filter challenges content creators to hit the right pitch to send a ball through a target.
Lately, many popular filters demand users to pronounce a word accurately to progress through levels. Some content creators might find it challenging to navigate these voice-controlled games due to the difficulties in saying words correctly, especially those who speak with strong accents.
One of the TikTok creators who often goes viral is French user tatatopsecret. Her fame stems from her persistent attempts to outdo popular trends on the platform.
On the 13th of October, she shared a video featuring a food-naming filter, but encountered challenges in correctly pronouncing ‘pizza’.
With Google Translate’s text-to-speech feature, she managed to get past the initial part of the filter, but ran into difficulties when encountering Nutella.
On October 14th, I gave my own spin on that popular TikTok filter, spending more than a minute trying to transform its shape into a circle. In the end, I decided it was best to give it another go later on.
All of her videos have gone viral, with millions of views across TikTok and X.
Instead of facing difficulties in every video she posted, it’s worth noting that on October 13, she triumphantly rejoiced upon successfully navigating through a culinary-themed filter.
Through numerous videos, she’s garnered countless comments from viewers, who’ve expressed their delight at spotting her on their For You Pages. (For You Page abbreviated as FYP)
