Free Astro Bot DLC Unveiled At PlayStation Showcase, Arriving This Fall

As a longtime PlayStation enthusiast who’s traversed countless virtual worlds, I can’t help but be thrilled about the upcoming free DLC for Astro Bot Rescue Mission. Having spent countless hours with this charming 3D platformer, I’m eager to explore new levels and meet more of those adorable little bots. The fact that it’s free is just the cherry on top!

Sony’s popular 3D platformer, Astro Bot, is set to receive downloadable content soon, and Sony has recently unveiled more details about this additional content through a fresh trailer that was presented during the State Of Play event in September.

The game’s upcoming DLC is not only free but also expected to release this autumn, although the exact release date remains undisclosed in the trailer. However, since we’re approaching fall, it seems the launch might be imminent.

As an enthusiast, I’m thrilled about this DLC update! It’s packed with fresh additions, such as five exhilarating speedrun levels for online racing and a whopping ten bots for me to save. Two of these bots, as hinted in the trailer, seem to have a connection to Helldivers 2 and Stellar Blade – one resembling a character from Helldivers 2, while the other appears to be dressed like Eve from Stellar Blade. However, it seems there are more than just these two unique bots in this DLC, as PlayStation hints that I’ll need to uncover the identities of the remaining ones myself!

After the unveiling of Astro Bot, the team at Asobi Studio Head, Nicolas Doucet, expressed immense satisfaction with the positive response. He added that it’s heartwarming to witness Astro bringing joy to homes globally. On behalf of Team Asobi, he extends a heartfelt thank you for this overwhelming support.

Doucet additionally mentioned that the trailer offered just a glimpse of the upcoming DLC, implying to players that the game creators are keeping some exciting secrets yet to be revealed.
