Destiny 2 Sept 26 patch notes: Darkness removed from Encore bosses & more

As a seasoned Destiny 2 player with countless hours spent navigating the dark and challenging landscapes of Darkness Zones, I must say that this latest patch has brought forth a sigh of relief for many solo players like myself. The adjustments made to the Encore boss encounters in Exotic Missions are a welcome change, providing a much-needed balance between challenge and accessibility.

In simpler terms, update 8.0.5.5 for Destiny 2 changes how often the Encore bosses can be revived during Exotic Missions.

In the game Destiny 2, certain areas known as “Darkness Zones” or “respawn-restricted zones” have frequently sparked debates among players, particularly those who prefer to play on their own.

For some players, the thrill lies in battling a boss without repeated deaths, but others want more flexibility in the single-player mode. In the latest update, Version 8.0.5.5, Bungie has provided a sort of compromise.

In encore battles for the game Exotic Missions, set on Normal mode, the Darkness won’t be a factor. But if you’re playing on Expert difficulty, the Darkness will stay the same.

As a gamer, I’ve noticed that the latest update on September 26th has brought some tweaks too. The devs have fine-tuned the enemy presence in Skywatch, particularly to aid those like me who are struggling to meet the engram demands for the Accidental Generosity Triumph.
