In spite of Bungie’s decision to reduce the overall content in Destiny 2, they’ve guaranteed an annual release of Raids, indicating a continued commitment.
Currently, there’s a lot of uncertainty surrounding Bungie’s action RPG Destiny 2. Recently, the company announced layoffs and scaled back plans for new content, leaving fans wondering about the direction of the series going forward.
The developers have made efforts to reassure players that the franchise continues to thrive, emphasizing that their recent 10-year milestone was just the beginning. Since then, they’ve pledged to improve their communication with the gaming community and have updated their strategies for the future of the game.

According to a recent blog post on September 25th (Developer Insight Blog), Bungie assured gamers that they will keep creating annual raids in the future, even though they’ve reduced the production of other narrative and gameplay activities.
Every year, we launch a fresh raid, such as the one named ‘Codename: Apollo’. This new raid stands tall amidst the extensive history of adventures in this field.
In Destiny 2, Raids stand out as the peak experience for Player vs Environment (PvE) content. They present extremely difficult battles that demand teamwork and player expertise to conquer. Additionally, they provide some of the most impressive gear in the game, making it essential for top-tier Guardians to tackle them if they aim for excellence.
The developers have pledged something about these upcoming raids, but they’re not yet prepared to disclose additional details about their nature.
