Dead by Daylight: 2v8 Mode All Survivor Classes And Killer Skills

As a seasoned Dead by Daylight (DBD) player with over 1000 hours under my belt, I’ve seen it all. From the best killer builds to the most effective survivor perks, I’ve experimented with various strategies and tactics to outwit my opponents.

As an avid fan of Dead by Daylight, I’m thrilled to share that starting this July, we’ll be experiencing a fresh take on the game with its new 2v8 mode. This exciting update strips down some elements from the original version, yet introduces captivating new mechanics: survivor classes and enhanced killer skills.

Dead by Daylight: 2v8 Mode All Survivor Classes And Killer Skills

Dead by Daylight 2v8 Survivor Classes

Medic

You might have figured out that the Medic is the one who takes care of his team’s health. Although Medics can’t self-heal or bestow that power upon their teammates, they can still enhance healing processes for those in proximity. By doing so, they expedite the recovery process and make it easier to locate and attend to injured survivors during the experiment.

  • Grant nearby survivors a heal speed boost
  • See auras of injured survivors
  • Faster healing speed

Guide

“A Guide can facilitate teamwork among survivors, enabling each member to maximize their unique abilities.” Since many survivor roles offer benefits when collaborating with teammates, having a Guide to coordinate movements and locate the group can be invaluable. Furthermore, Guides can expedite completing crucial objectives such as repairing generators by spotting machine auras and enhancing skill checks for faster repairs.

  • Reveal your aura and the generator’s aura (to the team while repairing)
  • See generator auras
  • Great skill check progress boost

Scout

The Scout is exceptional at locating and signaling to others the hiding places of the killers, warning teammates to stay clear of danger. With an uncanny ability to detect foes at crucial instances, the Scout operates silently when injured, evading detection and relaying critical information to fellow survivors.

  • Reveal killer aura (when they break a pallet or wall, or damage a generator)
  • Reveal killer’s aura to the team (when killer is in line of sight)
  • Make no sound when injured

Escapist

The Escapist role, in simpler terms, is perfect for survivors who enjoy eluding pursuers during chases. Equipped with the ability to share a Sprint Burst with teammates and boasting an awareness of windows and pallets similar to Kate Denson’s perk, this class makes it easier to escape dangerous situations. If you frequently opt for chase-centric survivor builds, consider giving The Escapist a try.

  • Shared Sprint Burst
  • Reveal the auras of windows, breakables, and pallets
  • Run faster while injured

Dead by Daylight: 2v8 Mode All Survivor Classes And Killer Skills

Dead by Daylight 2v8 Killer Skills

Trapper

In an enhanced form, The Trapper now lays down even more traps at a faster pace. Additionally, when he sets traps for himself, he provides teammates with a speed boost, thereby improving collaboration and coordination between him and other killers in this special game mode.

  • Faster Trap setting
  • Set Traps to give teammate a speed boost
  • More Traps

Wraith

In Dead by Daylight’s 2vs8 mode, the Wraith transforms into an enhanced version of himself, akin to the Trapper. He not only expedites his cloaking and uncloaking abilities but additionally renders his teammates invisible. This feature opens up exciting possibilities for covert strategies during 2vs8 matches.

  • Make nearby teammate undetectable
  • Uncloak and cloak faster
  • Move faster while cloaked

Huntress

In the game’s 2v8 mode, I, as the Huntress gamer, still carry my trusty hatchets with me, and I’ve got an extra stash this time around. These hatchets pack a punch, revealing survivors’ auras when they make contact. Moreover, in case I run out of hatchets, I can reload faster than ever before, ensuring a more dynamic and swift gameplay experience for me.

  • Hatchet hits reveal survivor auras
  • Faster movement without hatchets
  • More hatchets
  • Faster reloading

Hillbilly

In the revised version, the character referred to as “The Hillbilly” may no longer have the power to instantly kill survivors using his chainsaw in Dead by Daylight’s 2v8 update. However, he will gain improved control over the chainsaw and the ability to reveal survivors while it is in use. Although The Hillbilly himself cannot directly finish off survivors with his chainsaw, he can team up with another killer who can deliver a lethal blow in a single strike. Additionally, the reduced collision cooldowns mean that The Hillbilly can employ the chainsaw more frequently with less risk, potentially leading to exciting gameplay scenarios.

  • Reduced collision cooldowns
  • Expose survivors while chainsaw sprinting
  • More chainsaw control
  • Chainsaw no longer instantly downs

Nurse

A nurse character in the game is already known for being one of the scariest killers due to her nearly unescapable Blink ability. In 2v8 game mode, she becomes even more formidable with extended lunges, additional time to link blinks, and an extra Blink when close to teammates. Skilled players will find it challenging to stop this menacing nurse figure.

  • Extended lunge
  • Additional blink while near teammate
  • Bigger chain blink window
  • Reduced fatigue
