The price of Bitcoin has climbed higher than $66,000 for the first time in a week after the recent halving event, causing a steady upward trend.

In simpler terms, the prices of alternative cryptocurrencies have risen slightly in the last 24 hours. Currently, Ethereum is trading at around $3,200, and Binance Coin is above $600.

Bitcoin’s Recover Continues

Following the tragic weekend event that caused a significant drop in BTC‘s value, it began to regain some ground during the business week. This upward trend peaked on Monday, reaching nearly $67,000.

Despite the escalating geopolitical conflicts between Iran and Israel, as well as other external factors, Bitcoin took a downturn once more. In reality, the cryptocurrency slipped beneath $60,000 on multiple occasions that week, with the most recent dip occurring on Friday – mere hours prior to the anticipated fourth halving’s conclusion.

Despite an initial dip, Bitcoin surged back up to approximately $65,000. This level held steady as mining rewards were reduced by half. Since then, BTC has been gradually increasing and reached a new high of over $66,000 today.

Its market cap has tapped $1.3 trillion on CoinGecko, and its dominance over the alts is up to 51%.
