Switch 2’s Game-Key Cards Are “A Little Disheartening” For Game Preservation, Says Dev
In an interview with GamesIndustry.biz, Kick expressed his view that Game-Key cards represent a “setback” in the area of game preservation. He added that it’s disappointing to see Nintendo take this approach, considering their size and rich history. One would expect such a company to prioritize preservation more diligently. Kick is responsible for overseeing a developer aiming to remaster PS3 and Xbox 360 games. The upcoming project from Nightdive Studios is the System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster, scheduled for release on June 26.
