He was missing from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, but he was cast in the HBO Max TV series and fans have already been able to see what he will look like

The filming process for HBO Max’s Harry Potter television series has started, and the creators have released initial photos showcasing the actors in costumes. This allows fans to catch a glimpse of the new designs for Harry, Hogwarts uniforms, and the iconic character, Hagrid. Both characters received positive feedback from viewers upon their unveiling.

Instead of the usual official character reveals, there were some unofficial ones this time around. The Daily Mail published photos from London Zoo, a location where scenes for “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” (or “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone”) were filmed. While these scenes were reduced in the movie, it seems that the TV show will delve deeper into these moments as depicted in the books. Moreover, Piers Polkiss, Dudley’s associate who accompanied the Dursleys during filming, is expected to make an appearance too.

It appears that Mickey McAnulty, who has been seen in shows such as Trying and Blitz, will portray the character being discussed. Evidence can be found in images from the London Zoo.

In the Harry Potter movie series, Jason Boyd portrayed the character Piers; however, Piers wasn’t featured in the first film, The Philosopher’s Stone, even though he was included in the book. Instead, he made his debut in The Order of the Phoenix. J.K. Rowling described Piers Polkiss as follows:

Piers, a skinny lad, had a visage resembling a rodent. Typically, he was the one who restrained others while Dudley delivered the blows.

The upcoming Harry Potter TV series seems set to closely follow the books, including minor details like background characters. Unlike the films, which omitted Piers in “The Sorcerer’s Stone,” the TV show will introduce Dudley’s colleague from the start, a character who wasn’t overly fond of Harry. Although his role is not significant, fans of Harry Potter’s adventures are likely to appreciate this addition.
