Nintendo Is Holding Another Switch Online Playtest This Month, Here’s How To Sign Up

Nintendo has unveiled plans for another Switch Online Playtest Event set for later in July. This exclusive beta testing phase is scheduled to kick off on the 28th of this month, providing eligible participants with another opportunity to preview the same secretive service that underwent testing during October 2024’s Playtest Program.

Just like previously, the Nintendo Switch Online Playtest Program is exclusively for chosen players on a first-come, first-served basis. To be eligible, you need to be at least eighteen years old and possess an active Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership by July 17th. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that I’ll be one of the lucky ones!

On July 21st at 8:00 AM Pacific Time, we’re hosting another test within the Nintendo Switch Online: Playtest Program. Members with the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack are invited to join, on a first-come, first-served basis. For more details, check it out!

As a passionate gamer excitedly looking forward to the upcoming opportunity, I’m eager to share that this time, Nintendo is extending an invitation for players like me! We can either apply as individuals or as a team. The application process kicks off on July 18 at 3 PM Pacific Time/6 PM Eastern Time, with formal registration opening two days later on July 21 at 8 AM Pacific Time/11 AM Eastern Time. The Playtest Program has been planned to take place from July 28 until August 10. Nintendo anticipates that up to 40,000 individuals from around the globe may be selected to participate.

Just as with the initial Playtest Program, Nintendo requests that testers keep quiet about the service they’re evaluating. In their own words, “Please refrain from discussing the service you are testing in public forums.

As a devoted enthusiast, I kindly ask for your understanding regarding a matter: please refrain from sharing or revealing details about either the Nintendo Switch Online: Playtest Program test software or website with anyone outside of our group. If we happen to be a team participating in this program, feel free to communicate and exchange information among ourselves, but ensure it stays within the boundaries set for our group.

There’s more than just one beta test for Switch Online members. In addition, Nintendo is offering a limited-time demo for Drag x Drive from August 9th to the 10th. Unlike the Playtest Program, this demo is accessible to all Nintendo Switch Online (NSO) subscribers and will be held during three distinct time periods over those two days.
