Asmongold defends MrBeast amid “forced” hate over AI YouTube thumbnails

Streamer Asmongold is taking a stand in support of YouTuber MrBeast, who has faced criticism recently over his use of AI video tools, and Asmongold is speaking out in defense.

On June 20, Jimmy ‘MrBeast’ Donaldson stirred up the internet by revealing innovative resources for YouTube creators to design video thumbnails using his Viewstats platform.

Despite MrBeast removing his AI-related thumbnail and indicating he’d make adjustments, Asmongold feels the intense criticism leveled against the YouTuber may not have been necessary in the first place.

Asmongold says MrBeast anti-AI hate is “forced”

In a broadcast on June 2025, Asmongold reviewed the critical comments directed at MrBeast and articulated his belief that these were not genuine expressions of discontent but rather artificially created uproars.

He remarked, “In my viewpoint, the antagonism towards AI seems to be the most contrived issue on the web.” Essentially, he believes it’s the most manufactured matter online, and it mainly consists of content creators and artists attempting to stir up their audience against artificial intelligence.

In my perspective as a dedicated fan, Asmongold seems to believe that the negativity towards AI is being artificially amplified, given the backlash MrBeast faced for endorsing an AI thumbnail website. To put it simply, he thinks some creators and artists are stirring up their followers because they don’t want to be overshadowed by these advancements.

Based on what Asmongold has stated, it appears these people are concerned about being supplanted by artificial intelligence, which may explain their reaction.
