The addition of Squirrel Girl, Iron Fist, and the teased heroes like Black Widow, Cloak & Dagger, and Wolverine has my heart racing with anticipation.
Since NetEase Games posted the official Launch Trailer for Marvel Rivals, the game’s players have been buzzing with excitement online. The trailer revealed some fresh faces joining the fray, among them were the long-awaited Black Widow and the popularly demanded Wolverine, who had previously been hinted at.
Following the release of the latest Launch Trailer, the developers have been highlighting three characters in their daily updates: Squirrel Girl and Iron Fist, who were recently introduced, as well as another hero. New videos for team-ups, titled “Rivals Assembled,” and cosmetic skins for these characters have also been unveiled. These allow players to assume roles such as a popstar, an expert urban hunter, or the wielder of a legendary sword in the game.
On November 30, 2024, Luna Snow, the star of the sensational Korean pop scene, was highlighted with all the limelight, glamour, and sparkle. She received news about a video titled “Rivals Assembled” and a cosmetic skin announcement. This frosty hero will radiate brilliance in the “Shining Star” skin, an exclusive design that will be available during Season 0 for players to obtain within the game.
After the unveiling of the Marvel Rivals Launch Trailer, new playable characters have been added to the team, including Doreen Green, also known as Squirrel Girl, a hero with the Duelist class. Her arsenal ranges from throwing oversized acorns at adversaries to having her band of squirrel comrades storming the battlefield. With her “Urban Hunter” cosmetic outfit, she can command and deploy them in combat, an appearance that was seen in U.S. Avengers (2017) #1 comic book.
In the Marvel universe, the powerful guardian and protector of K’un Lun, known as Lin Lie or the Immortal Iron Fist, imbued with the strength given by the mighty dragon Shou-Lao, is now set to join Marvel Rivals. As the rightful heir to the legendary “Sword of Fu Xi,” the Iron Fist has revealed the sword’s hidden power and will be able to utilize it in the “Sword Master” costume that debuted in the first issue of the Sword Master (2019) comic book.
We’re yet to get further details about daily updates concerning Black Widow, Cloak & Dagger, and Wolverine, who were unveiled alongside Iron Fist and Squirrel Girl in the game trailer. As for how we might obtain their cosmetic skins within the game, possibilities include the Season Pass, the in-game shop, or Galacta’s Quest missions.
