As a devoted fan who has followed the gripping saga of Attack on Titan for years, I find myself both saddened and fascinated by Hajime Isayama’s revelation about the fate of the Wall Titans. The brutal, poignant narrative that he weaves is as captivating as it is heart-wrenching, and this latest tidbit only serves to deepen my admiration for his storytelling prowess.
The epic saga of “Attack on Titan” has drawn to a close, but the story’s conclusion doesn’t mark the end of insights into Hajime Isayama’s beloved series. This year, the “AoT” manga celebrated its 15th anniversary, and a special question-and-answer session with the author himself was arranged as part of the festivities.
During this session, the mangaka addressed fans’ inquiries, disclosing some intriguing details about the series, including aspects related to the ending. Isayama shared his thoughts on what would have transpired with the Wall Titans, who bore a resemblance to the Colossal Titan, following Eren’s defeat, had there been room for it in the manga. Regrettably, he ran out of pages to fully illustrate events post-final battle. Consequently, readers were left unaware of the fate of those Titans: whether they reverted to humans, vanished completely, or left no trace behind.
In the world of Attack on Titan, Isayama shared that if he had the power to do so, he would transform these characters into humans. Sadly, though, they wouldn’t survive for very long.
If given the opportunity to sketch it, I certainly would. However, upon regaining their human form, they would find themselves entirely unclothed. This could lead to them being targeted for violence by those who had just been saved from a stampede by giants (titans).
Originally transformed into Titans, these beings were once responsible for a worldwide massacre, then killed while under Eren’s control. After lying dormant for over a century, they mysteriously woke up to find themselves attacked by an angry crowd. This scenario mirrors the dark and tragic themes often found in Hajime Isayama’s work.
