Destiny 2's Iron Banner Returns Soon With A Brand-New Armor Set And Rocket Sidearm

As a seasoned Guardian with countless hours logged in Destiny 2, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming Iron Banner event! The return of this fan-favorite mode never fails to stir the competitive spirit within me. The prospect of new weapons and ornaments, particularly the Iron Intent armor set and the Stasis rocket sidearm, has me itching to get back into the fray.

Next week, Iron Wolves can look forward to expressing their gratitude, for the Iron Banner competition in Destiny 2 is set to resume. Historically, this event offers fresh weapons and ornaments, and this time around will be no exception, as it introduces a brand-new armor set and rocket sidearm into the prize loot collection.

In this week’s Destiny update from Bungie, they unveiled the name of a new armor set – Iron Intent. This armor is said to be fitting for Weyloran, Nirwen, and Orewig, three esteemed Iron Lords. These characters are well-known among players due to various weapons and ornaments named after them over time. The Iron Banner competition will make its comeback in the game starting November 26, with a Control match type during the initial week.

The armor sports an aesthetic reminiscent of Norse style, featuring a helmet resembling a hammer (Titan) and a mask adorned with studded horns (Warlock). Both have intricate braiding patterns running vertically along the plates. Although Destiny has previously offered ornaments similar to this set, the presentation is distinctly unique from the Valhund collection.

In addition to the Iron Intent bundle, the announcement hinted at the debut of the first-ever Stasis rocket sidearm. Not only that, but it was disclosed that this weapon could be equipped with the Loose Change perk along with Chill Clip enhancements. With Iron Banner tournaments lasting for two weeks now, there’s ample opportunity to fine-tune the ideal build on this new piece of hardware. Given the effectiveness of the limited rocket sidearms in the game currently, and considering the existing Artifact’s numerous Stasis weapon-focused traits, this should be quite an appealing addition.

In this current season, I’ve been eagerly anticipating the return of some classic weapons in Iron Banner – the Claws of the Wolf pulse rifle and Crimil’s Dagger hand cannon. However, this is the final time the banner will rise and Lord Saladin’s sigil will shine during this run. If you’ve missed out so far, now’s your chance to let your foes hear the chilling howls of these powerful weapons and instill a sense of dread in them!
