As a seasoned Pokémon enthusiast, who’s been through the Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh regions (and let’s not forget about Unova!), I must say that the upcoming Season 2 of “Horizons: The Series” is a cause for great excitement. The first season was a breath of fresh air, introducing new protagonists and a fresh take on the beloved franchise.
Fans of “Pokemon” in the United States will have the opportunity to watch Season 2 of “Horizons: The Series” ahead of schedule, as EbMaster has just announced exclusively.
The second season, named “The Quest for Laqua,” is set to debut on Netflix in the U.S. on February 7, 2025. This is the initial mainline “Pokémon” series in over two decades, and it’s titled “Horizons: The Series.” In this new adventure, we follow trainers Liko and Roy, along with their companion Pokémons Sprigatito and Fuecoco, as they journey across the Pokémon world on a worldwide expedition. This series marks the introduction of new protagonists following the retirement of Ash Ketchum and his Pikachu from the animated franchise.
In Season 2, Liko and Roy’s journey persists as they traverse the globe in pursuit of the six remaining Hero Pokémon and the fabled land of Laqua. However, their growth as Pokémon Trainers is not without obstacles – a fresh hurdle arises: Tera Training! As they traverse Paldea, Liko, Roy, and Dot work on refining their Terastallization abilities and confront the region’s formidable Gym Leaders. Later, Liko, Roy, and the rest of the Rising Volt Tacklers pick up where they left off in their chase for the Six Heroes, including the elusive black Rayquaza. As both parties strive to unravel the mysteries surrounding Terapagos, they race against time to find the path that will ultimately guide them to Laqua.
Starting November 22nd, the final episodes of “Pokémon Horizons: The Series” Season 1 will be available to stream on Netflix in the United States.
