As a seasoned film enthusiast with decades of movie-watching under my belt, I can’t help but feel a surge of excitement at the prospect of the new “Jack Ryan” feature film. Having grown up reading Tom Clancy’s novels and watching the various iterations of Jack Ryan throughout the years, it’s thrilling to see this franchise continue to evolve.
Amazon’s MGM Studios is currently working on a fresh “Jack Ryan” movie, marking the latest phase in the Tom Clancy series, with John Krasinski set to star.
In the upcoming series, Wendell Pierce, who previously worked with Krasinski, has been confirmed as a cast member. Meanwhile, discussions are ongoing for Michael Kelly to return in his original series role.
In the upcoming movie, Andrew Bernstein – previously involved as an executive producer and director in Season 2 – will be at the helm, directing based on a screenplay written by Aaron Rabin. Aaron Rabin, you see, was a co-executive producer and writer during Season 4 of the series.
John Krasinski and Allyson Seeger are serving as producers for a project on Sunday nights. Andrew Form is also involved in the production process. This film is being produced in collaboration with Paramount Pictures and Skydance. Skydance’s David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, John Kelly, and Carlton Cuse will serve as executive producers alongside John Krasinski and Allyson Seeger.
The movie is set to continue the storyline from the highly popular Amazon, MGM Studios, Paramount Television, and Skydance original series “Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan.” Over four seasons, this show has consistently ranked within the top three most-viewed series worldwide on Prime Video.
Recenty, Krasinski penned, directed, and acted in “IF” for Paramount Pictures. Previously, he collaborated on the script, directed, and played a role in Paramount’s Academy Award-nominated film “A Quiet Place.” Following the success of the original, he wrote and directed the sequel “A Quiet Place: Part II,” and this year, he produced “A Quiet Place: Day One,” which is the third installment in the series.
Krasinski is managed by WME, Rowe PR, and Schreck Rose; Pierce is managed by Paradigm Talent Agency and Frankfurt Kurnit; Kelly is also managed by WME, Liebman Entertainment, and Schreck Rose; Bernstein is represented by CAA, Industry Entertainment Partners, and McKuin Frankel Whitehead; and Rabin is represented by Untitled, CAA, and Gendler Kelly.
