Jeremy Allen White’s ‘The Boss’ Looks Like an Employee

Title of the upcoming Jeremy Allen White-led Bruce Springsteen biopic, “Deliver Me From Nowhere,” recently unveiled its first sneak peek image. I had an encounter with someone who resembled him on the PATH train last week, but it’s difficult to pinpoint a distinctive costume as Springsteen typically wears everyday attire and doesn’t have striking facial characteristics like a famous mustache. Although White sports slightly longer sideburns than usual, this role may not be a significant departure for him. So, what exactly is there for devoted Springsteen fans to eagerly anticipate?

This photo appears to be the one exception among a Jersey guy’s Tinder pictures that isn’t a selfie. It has a feel of a paparazzi shot capturing Jeremy Allen White heading to meet Rosalía. In simpler terms, it’s like a regular person, and fitting for a Springsteen movie! The imagery is inspired by Warren Zanes’ book, not focusing on the iconic ‘Born in the U.S.A.’ era with its denim and bandana style, but rather the raw, emotional narrative similar to ‘Nebraska’. If you can’t appreciate him during his working-class struggles, then you don’t deserve him when he becomes a disillusioned rock star.
