McDonald’s unveils new Samurai Mac burgers in Hello Kitty collab

As a gamer with a knack for pop culture and a soft spot for nostalgia, I must say that the latest collaboration between Sanrio’s Hello Kitty and McDonald’s has piqued my interest. The fact that this beloved character is turning 50 and still managing to stay relevant is a testament to her enduring charm.

It’s quite astonishing, but this year our cherished Sanrio icon, Hello Kitty, will celebrate her 50th birthday! In honor of this milestone, Hello Kitty is collaborating with McDonald’s to release an advertisement imparting valuable life lessons to its patrons.

Currently, she’s promoting a fresh advertisement once more, highlighting the recently launched Samurai Burgers from McDonald’s Japan. Each burger boasts three substantial patties, and they’ve added some zesty soy sauce to give them an additional flavor boost.

Instead of centering the advertisement on the freshly introduced burgers, it shines a light on Hello Kitty, offering wise counsel to the audience instead.

As I watched the commercial, there I was, suspended in mid-air from a tree branch – apparently, I’d collided with it during my parachute jump. To my relief, Japanese actor Masato Sakai swooped in to save me from my arboreal predicament. He then inquired about the thrilling tale of my skydiving escapade.

He asks, “Don’t you fear failure?” But she counters with a positive spin, saying, “I view failures as proof of attempts made – they’re all valuable lessons!

1) She motivates viewers with the phrase, “Let’s give it our all,” as a sneak peek of the latest burgers appears on-screen. Starting October 2nd, Japanese patrons will have the chance to savor the Triple Thick Beef Seared Soy Sauce Samurai Mac, priced at about US$5.39 (equivalent to 780 yen).

Additionally, we have two unique options: The Double Thick Beef Seared Soy Sauce Samurai Mac, which has two beef patties instead of three, and the Thick Beef Bacon Tomato Seared Soy Sauce Samurai Mac, which includes salad items inside. They are respectively priced at 580 and 570 yen.
