Smartschoolboy9 followers convinced they’ve found his YouTube channel

As a seasoned internet sleuth with over two decades of experience navigating the digital labyrinth, I must say that the smartschoolboy9 saga has me intrigued, to say the least. The enigma surrounding this mysterious figure is as captivating as it is chilling, and I find myself drawn into the rabbit hole like a moth to a flame.

The story of smartschoolboy9 carries on, as people following the case believe they’ve discovered the YouTube account linked to the supposed individual at the center – David London.

Let it be known that we still don’t know whether David London (or David Alter, as was previously believed) is actually smartschoolboy9. It’s one of many theories that have arisen after YouTuber Nick Crowley’s video on the rabbit hole went viral.

It’s been established that, during the early part of this year, Reddit users spotted a strange collection of Instagram profiles, each claiming to be managed by the same individual. In certain instances, this person presented themselves as a child and posted unusual and occasionally inappropriate content relating to minors.

On his main channel, he uploaded videos in which he’d dress up as a schoolboy, while one appears to show him chasing a real-life child. A subreddit has been launched for true crime followers to share any clues about smartschoolboy9’s identity.

Despite the whispers about his impending arrest, it’s important to clarify that Greenwich Police Service has withdrawn their previous statement suggesting an ongoing investigation. In fact, London’s Metropolitan Police have confirmed they are not currently looking into any matters concerning him at present.

Essentially, they’ve returned to the starting point, but now their attention has shifted towards another possible lead: smartschoolboy9’s YouTube channel.

Many posts have been circulated regarding the account titled David’s Poetry, currently boasting 50 followers. At this moment, it contains just one video featuring old recordings of ’60s London accompanied by a poem recital and eerie background music.

There is also a short, although it doesn’t give anything away – it simply shows the camera pointing at an unknown location at nighttime, and there’s no audio except for what sounds like white noise.

According to one Redditor, there were more videos but “he’s deleted most” of them due to comments about smartschoolboy9. Another shared what they claim to be an archived video from the page, showing an image of a girl with the name ‘David London’ across the screen.

The audio features a piano tune juxtaposed with the narrator’s poem, which has been edited to sound distorted and sinister. The Redditor also shared a screenshot of the YouTube page before all but one video had been deleted.

The YouTuber known as @eterna later produced a video on YouTube, asserting that they were the initial discoverer of David’s Poetry following their observation of a comment under an archival video on the platform.

They say, “Instead of keeping them private, I shared them on Reddit, and afterwards, he removed all videos except for the latest one. However, since I had already saved them as archives, it’s not a big deal.

They believe it’s smartschoolboy9 due to the similarities in the narrator’s style (in terms of speech and writing), the fact that the account appears to belong to the same individual, and because the account has existed for over four years.

Ultimately, Eterna rewinds to a recording of their supposed discussion with the owner of the YouTube account, whom they suspect is smartschoolboy9 based on the similarity of his voice heard in prior uploads.

Here’s the thing: this could very well be legit. Or, it could be someone posing as smartschoolboy9 to try and fool the internet. Or, it could be none of the above – maybe it’s another troubling individual, like the creator behind Pipergate?
