According to our exclusive sources, the esteemed TV network Legendary Television has appointed Ruth Chen as their latest senior vice president in charge of television business and legal matters.

In her fresh position, Chen will handle tasks related to both scripted and non-scripted projects within the company Legendary. Her main responsibility will be on international co-productions. She will provide updates on her work to Lee Rierson, who is the executive vice president and head of TV, business, and legal affairs at Legendary.

Renowned television production company, Legendary Television, has appointed Ruth Chen as the Senior Vice President for their Television Business and Legal Affairs department. In this role, she will collaborate on a variety of scripted and unscripted series, as well as documentaries, with an emphasis on international co-productions across the division. Prior to joining Legendary, Chen worked at Sony Pictures Television, International Productions. She will now report directly to Lee Rierson, who is the Executive Vice President and Head of TV Business & Legal Affairs at Legendary.

Chen transitions from her role as Senior Vice President of Business Affairs at Sony Pictures Television to Legendary, bringing along years of experience in overseeing English-language scripted originals and co-productions for Sony’s international projects, particularly focusing on productions based in the UK, Spain, and Italy within their European division. She began her tenure with Sony in 2013.

Before joining Sony, Chen had served as the head of business affairs, senior vice president at Embassy Row, a fully-owned branch of Sony Pictures Television specializing in unscripted productions. Earlier, she worked for almost a decade as a senior business affairs executive at WME.
