As a seasoned CS:GO fan with over two decades of experience under my belt, I must say, the BLAST Premier Fall Final 2024 has been nothing short of thrilling! The nail-biting match between FaZe Clan and Team Falcons was a testament to the unpredictable nature of esports.
On the opening day of BLAST Premier Fall Final 2024, spectators saw Navi sweep under Team Falcons with a fairly decisive 2-0 victory, while FaZe Clan put up a valiant effort but ultimately fell to G2 Esports 2-1. Consequently, FaZe Clan and Team Falcons were compelled to battle it out in the Group A elimination match, vying for their survival and a berth in the Playoffs.

On the map selection of Nuke by Team Falcons, Finn “karrigan” Andersen’s group gained a quick advantage. Faze Clan successfully converted during the pistol round, followed by winning the first gun round and converting again, giving them a 4-0 lead in the early stages on the CT side.
In the initial phase of the match, FaZe Clan held back significant resources for Team Falcons, leaving them with limited opportunities to respond. Moreover, Helvijs “broky” Saukants, their AWPer, showed a playful side by scoring a kill with a Zeus in a gun round. As the clock struck halfway, FaZe Clan maintained a slight lead of 8-4, and teams prepared to switch sides.

After FaZe Clan switched to the attacker (T) side, they continued to press forward aggressively. They managed to plant the bomb and secure a victory in the opening round, and followed it up by converting another opportunity, taking their score to a commanding 10-4 lead.
In the game, Team Falcons successfully held off FaZe, thanks mainly to Alvaro “SunPayus” Garcia’s exceptional performance. He displayed remarkable skill, outperforming many opponents. However, FaZe Clan came very close to thwarting Team Falcons’ resurgence in the 18th round, nearly depleting their resources.
Throughout the game, Team Falcons repeatedly secured victory in multiple rounds, while FaZe Clan found it tough to conclude the map, often occupying the final point for numerous consecutive rounds. In the 24th round, in an effort to prevent overtime, FaZe Clan managed to narrowly defeat Team Falcons, claiming a tight 13-11 victory on the map.
At the outset, FaZe Clan elected to play their map selection as the attacking team. However, Team Falcons seized a quick 2-0 advantage, winning the initial pistol round and subsequent conversion. FaZe Clan struggled to secure their first rifle round, allowing Team Falcons to maintain their lead. By the 6th round, FaZe Clan managed to score one point, gradually regaining some ground. In the 10th round, they even disrupted Team Falcons’ economy. As the first half neared its conclusion, Team Falcons held a slim 7-5 advantage.
Initially, Team Falcons had an impressive debut on the Ancient map, securing two consecutive victories before encountering a setback against FaZe Clan in the initial rifle round of the first half. Although FaZe Clan retaliated, Team Falcons managed to reach the map’s decisive point (12-10) in the 22nd round. Despite having two opportunities to end the match, FaZe Clan forced overtime, staging a comeback to tie the score at 12-12.
Initially in the extra period, Falcons experienced disappointing defeats in consecutive rounds as FaZe Clan claimed three victories on the defensive side. However, Falcons managed to retaliate with three straight rounds, leading to a double overtime. In the second overtime matchup, the score remained tight, making it difficult to determine a winner. With an equal 18-18 scoreline, another overtime was required.
In the 39th round, FaZe Clan’s player Helvijs “broky” Saukants dealt a decisive blow to Team Falcons with a stunning 4v1 clutch, giving FaZe Clan a lead of 20-19.
The falcons regained the lead yet another time, ending the game at 22-20, thereby compelling an additional and decisive round on Dust2.
Initially, FaZe Clan claimed victory in the opening round on Dust2. However, Falcons swiftly regrouped to equalize at 1-1. In response, FaZe showed no mercy, taking the lead once more at 2-1 and later extending it to 4-1. As the first half drew to a close, Team Falcons managed to mount a comeback, resulting in a tied score of 6-6.
On the side of CTs (Counter-Terrorists), FaZe Clan showcased incredible resilience, stringing together an impressive run of seven consecutive rounds, ultimately securing Dust2 with a dominant 13-6 scoreline. This victory gave them a 2-1 series lead.
The team FaZe Clan has earned a place in the BLAST Premier Fall Final 2024 playoffs, whereas Team Falcons has been ousted from the competition.
