As a seasoned gamer with years of collecting limited edition games under my belt, I must admit that the upcoming Monster Hunter Wilds Ultra Collector’s Edition has caught my eye (or should I say wallet?). The thought of cruising around on a Monster Hunter-themed folding bike while hunting giant beasts is nothing short of exhilarating.
Collector’s Editions are indeed something special. They represent a version of an upcoming video game that comes with extra perks, making them highly attractive to dedicated enthusiasts. In the case of Monster Hunter Wilds, something particularly enticing is being prepared for avid players.
According to VGC, there’s an expensive Ultra Collector’s Edition priced at approximately $1300 or ¥181,590 (Japanese Yen), and I’m mentioning Yen because this edition seems to be exclusive to Japan. You might wonder what justifies such a high price tag? The reason is that it includes a bike.
Absolutely! A folding bicycle inspired by Monster Hunter Wilds is under consideration, allowing you to pursue your colossal creatures in nature without aggravating the climate predicament. This Collector’s Edition isn’t limited to just the bike; it also includes a mini Seikret plush toy, a Steelbook, a real-life Weapon Bag pouch, a PS5 version of the game, and all digital bonuses that come with the deluxe edition.
Unfortunately, it appears that this version of Monster Hunter Wilds will only be released in Japan, since Capcom hasn’t announced any intentions to expand the bike offering to other locations as of now. The game is scheduled for a release on February 27, 2025.
